Ok, i dont usually say much on these forums, it is a great place to get peoples opinions and info on the game, and somtimes a little to much opinion than info. But i just need to say, and im not sure if it has been posted before on the this OP, but we can not forget the tragedy that these poor people went threw not even two months ago. A major earthquake, and tsunami that killed or injuried so many. Even if it didnt hurt them directly, it did effect them one way or another. I myself am very eager to hear and see what they have for us. But we need to have respect and patients. As i remember they did launch a good size patch even a mere days after the tragedy. So i completley understand all over our concerns...but i think now is the time to take a breath and wait just a while longer. Sorry if this upset anyone, but when reading everyones concerns for the game on this post, i felt like it was an attack more than helpfull criticism. I do hope this helps as a reminder. Thanks for listening

I suppose it's only natural to be disappointed there is such a delay. This is the most anticipated patch yet for many people. There have been massive amounts of data added in the last few updates that we've yet to see enabled. Something huge is coming. I'm not a very patient person, but I try to remember that these droughts of information aren't meant to antagonize the community. I really believe these guys are trying their best to justify the faith we had in the game from the start. Yoshi-P has already said that this has to be right this time. The game should not have to survive another battle revision. Big things are coming, and when they do, all this anxiety will be a thing of the past. Hang in there people. I feel your pain.

Heh, ya know. They really like us to stew a bit before info comes, this time they threw us in the pressure cooker.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but those "huge" patches we've gotten weren't huge patches at all. Turns out we've been re-downloading everything we've downloaded since release in every patch, as was proved weeks ago by several posts.

We haven't actually gotten any new "hidden" content in those. Yup.

Hmm.. Not to go off topic but I heard that some people had detected some Leves being introduced for Ishgard. The community site FFXIVCore had reported that this was new data which for some reason made sense to me. How do you know that this is the same data every time since release? Not that I don't believe you, but I'm curious how we could know that. Of course the burden of proof should be on the person who first volunteers the supposition, and unfortunately I don't have any evidence other than hearsay that Ishgard leves were introduced. If that is the case, then that's a shame. I had enjoyed the idea that they were slowly dropping content over time to help reduce the download time on activation day.

Either way though, parade isn't rained upon. Maybe underdog got loose and went on a balloon rampage, but that's all. edit- I mean, I don't even consider it a parade until that happens anyway!

Back on topic, it's a hard life in the pressure cooker. Takes a long time but tasty things come after the waiting and pressure cooking. ...And now I'm hungry...

Well Producer letters are purely PR, so, you can talk about the life of your pet dog if it helps with PR. It realistically doesn't get things done faster, but it does make things more palpable.

I suspect that there translator team is having overload with E3 (I doubt they have dedicated translators for just FF14), but it could be anything.

We'll it's PR so, it's purely aesthetics, so it's all the same to me. As long as the release is good.

I'm sorry you missed the memo about there being new dungeons/raids being released along with the first battle changes, and how Ishgard, for example, will become available sometime after the battle changes as well.
and at this point with the blatant lies what makes you think anyone with a brain is going to believe anything without seeing it. i am of the type that words show me nothing more than you know how to talk. actions are what is needed and it is not what have been given. yoshi can talk all day about what he wants to do in the future, but until it is seen in the game or given a basic idea of which quater they want to try to release it in then it is just fabrication.

the talk is done with as i have stopped even listening to what they want to release........we still don't even have things from his first letter out yet. the future could be anywhere from next week til 8 years from now. people are losing patience with lack of fun in a game and no amount of talking will change that.

I don't believe any leves from locked areas have been datmined, but even if there were, leves aren't anything to get excited about imo (unless you meant that leves for Ishgard mean Ishgard is being unlocked soon, and with that would come more outside-of-leves storyline).

It's not the /same/ data completely. For instance (and these are rounded numbers off the top of my head), our last patch was 351MB, and the patch before that was 350MB. Our latest patch only -added- 1MB of data, and the patch before the 350MB one was only 345MB, and datmining in between shows no significant adjustments.

There are a few groups out there who do extensive mining after patches and post up results on various forums. Basically, since the release of the game, we've had the models of Diremites added. That's about it lol... the rest of the stuff is just random gear that was already laying around collecting dust in our SE folders, and reskins of gear we already had.

    So sad

yeah i heard the same, but it also turned out that ishgard already had leves in the game and were overlooked. all of the coerthas horn and the hand leves are issued by ishgard i do believe and i have been doing them since december. i do know i did one issued by them in december because i asked my ls about it and they said it had been that way.

Eugh, everytime someone refers to Dungeon content as 'raids', a moogle somewhere drops dead.

If anything the last Q&A round was good enough for me, it meant that the translators were getting SOME feedback, but maybe they're not ready to release a letter until next week.
