Best Patch Notes from any game since EVER!!

Sorry, but a few typos and errors don't take anything away from the frankly staggering amount of content they're adding.

Not saying it does, but frankly it's nothing to write home about either. Like I said, I've seen larger content patches in other MMOs, not sure why people are treating this as the holy grail of content patches. For example, Eve's Apocrypha update utterly dwarfs what's coming in 2.1

Most people aren't saying this is the greatest update ever, they're celebrating the idea that they're getting a lot of new content for a game they really enjoy.

The fact that one thing is larger doesn't make another thing insignificant.

Then perhaps you should learn how to stop reading selectively, and actually read my entire post, including the one I was replying to, where he said:

I'm very impressed. This is the longest most indepth page of patch notes I've ever read.

Or you know, you can just look up at the thread title, humbly named "Best Patch Notes from any game since EVER!!"

I think you should take your own advice about reading comprehension. OP is one person, most aren't like him/her.

On that note, I'd also disagree with your claim of "frankly staggering amount of content", 2 new dungeons and 1 pvp arena, some daily quests and a lolhousing system that the vast majority of the playerbase won't even participate in, is not what I'd consider "staggering".

Crystal Tower
New Dungeon
2 New Hard mode dungeons
A bunch of story quests
Beast quests
Housing
PvP
Duty Roulette
Treasure hunt
And tonnes of gameplay adjustments
And so on...

That's pretty staggering, it's very significant especially considering the only efficient way to farm tomes was to spam the same dungeon over and over. At least now people will be able to make a choice.

And of course it's subjective, that's not the point either.

CT and Pharos are the only 2 new dungeons, the 2 HM dungeon are not what I'd consider "new", rehashed is more like it.

Daily quests are just that, a few quests, PvP is nice, but 1 arena only, housing in its present form is practically vaporware for the vast majority of people. Treasure hunt I'd toss in the daily quest portion, as you are locked to 1 per 18 hours.

Duty Roulette is no more of a "content" than a new login menu would be, and game balancing is just that, balancing, if that qualifies as new content to you, then I have to say your bar for what qualifies as new content is set very low indeed.

Is it good? yes. Is it sorely needed? hell yes.

Is it staggering? other than the staggeringly terrible housing system, not in my book, not by a long shot.
