Hell yeah. 'Back then' expect a year's (or two) grind without cash shop item trading to roll around in a million of in-game currency.
But realize that in auction houses all the good stuff cost in the tens and hundreds(!) of millions.

Except housing prices are regulated by the game itself, not by players. If you want another comparison, building a relic in FFXI was estimated to taking a little over a year if you ran a dynamis shell. A mythic took just as long if not longer because of how you got Alexandrite. Again, I thought you wanted something along those lines. >.>
