Not Real Life so why ARE The housing Prices so Insane? Subbing to this is horrible.

I have a small FC. Saved a modest 4mil. Not alot I know. We wanted to buy at least the smallest plot. All of us chipped in. But @20mil gil SE just told me to stop even thinking about it. They just said don't even bother you are too poor to play this game.

I'm not rich in real life but at least I can afford a roof over my head. Come to play this game where it is suppose to be fantasy which I take to mean better than I have it in real life. And wow am I amazed. They might as well just told me to drop dead when I saw the prices on Hyperion.

Came from Aegis 1.0 and it's even worse there. OMG. I do not ever at this point want to hear another word about furniture and what I can do with it. Because I won't even be able to leave droppings in the lawn at these prices.

Having a house with my FC is not even a dream it's dead. Over before it even began. Even after 90 days the cheapest crappiest plot of land will still cost me 10mil gil if it is not alread bought. That's right they can buy it and you start all over waiting another 90 days once the new plots open up in the zone. There is a good chance my FC will never see a house.

Like I said were small. But we had hopes, dreams, a desire to play this game and get the most out of it like everyone else.

It appears if you can afford a FC house there are some tangible benefits that normal players without a house do not get.

The amounts that they cost are absolutely absurd. People need to stop white knighting this game so hard and move forward so BS like this stops. I'm in the same boat. After I saw the notes I lost all interest in FC housing.

Nope can't enjoy FC housing at the prices they are asking. It won't be a month for me and my fc to buy a house it will honestly take forever. I do not see it possible to buy even the cheapest land plot on my server anytime this next year because my FC is just not hardcore and housing IMO should not be a hardcore achievement. It was suppose to be a casual relaxing thing to come and unwind to. This is anything but relaxing. Seems the RMT for some ppl will keep their business. I will never buy gil for anything in game and especially don't see the need now. Housing is dead to me and my FC.

pricing for low tier servers are fine imo. it's pricing for "rich" servers that is insane. we probably just have more botters and normal players are forced to pay more because of them.

It's a reverse auction so don't worry if you can't afford it at first. As long as people around you have the same amount of money that you have, then eventually the prices of land will drop to an affordable price where you can afford it.

I kinda agree with what you are saying. The prices for Hyperion and no way to move because I am legacy is killing it for me. When I heard the letter this morning and 8mil price came up I was upset sure but after seeing these prices I am alot more than just upset. This indeed is horrible. And it's suppose to be a game to have fun. How is this fun?

they're penalizing normal players because of gold sellers and botters on legacy servers. there is no way a honest legacy player could have 600m after the 10% gil reduction.

Aside from the white knights who will support every bad decision Square Enix makes, I totally agree with you. I'm also in a small FC and we would never be able to afford these prices. And no, I'm not willing to go grind for 3 months to get it either. Housing should be a system accessible to all players right off the bat. Then, larger plots should be significantly more expensive to give larger/richer FCs something to work towards if they want to but at least let everyone participate in the content. These prices are a bad design decision by a team that is still largely out of touch with the modern MMO landscape. Other games with player housing have done it correctly, where it is available to everyone including FFXI, LOTRO, even WoW with it's next expansion makes garrisons available to everyone. Hopefully Square Enix will realize their mistake and fix it, but I doubt it.
