Game does not properly support quadraphonic (4.1) sound.

I have a 4.1 sound system for my computer and each time a cut scene plays with voice acting the character voices only come through my back left speaker and very quietly. General game sound is also screwed up as the regular sounds do not play at all through the back left speaker. I have switched to 2.1 sound and everything works fine through the front left and right speakers. I have also read on a reddit thread that others have had the same issue but switching to 5.1 or 7.1 also fixes the problem. I know my drivers and speakers are fine as this is the only application that this issue occurs. Any ideas?

think it's an issue with how the game interfaces with the directx API. I got my surround working on my Asus Xonar DX on my older XP box by setting it to 2 speaker in Windows, but setting the Xonar control panel to Quad with the GX extensions running (emulates EAX). It shouldn't be working, but positional audio works this way.

Been a long time since I used a Creative card... not sure if when you change the settings in the SB control panel if it will synch up with Windows, or if the EAX extensions are still available there either. But it might be something you can look at tinkering with if they still work somewhat independently.
