    tanks in swtor can go stealth and it was not arena battles. they "were" good till the nerfs hit like a ton of bricks.

    the earlier poster is right. Tanks are usually given abilities that make focusing the tank first a priority decision any smart team would make. In some cases tanks even damage as well as other dps classes do. or mitigate insane party wide damage.
