Goobue mount

I feel ripped off. I joined the game after the 1.0 goobue mount was announced as a one chance to get thing. They really made a big deal about it never being obtainable again.

On the other hand, I KNEW they would get around it and re-release it. I just figured it would be a Goobue pallete swap or a Goobue with armor on it. The laurel is just dumb.

To be fair it looks like it will take a lot of daily quest grinding to get one, so you prob will not see too many people with one.

And for SWTOR - Are they really? lol. You'll always have people who want to be as much of a snowflake as possible, and it's kinda dissapointing to see at times. XD

Still, I'm glad I chose to make a new character for this game instead of transferring my 1.0 Eidolon. So far it seems like it's been the best decision, save the fact that I've had to relevel a lot of jobs. :P

pretty much. it didn't really mean a problem to me since my highest battle class when I stopped playing (roughly in march/april 2012, which is why I barely didn't make it to 'legacy' which used to annoy me but I'm 'over it') was 21. even the goobue couldn't bring me to at least level up to 30 - and I am .still. not 50 on any of them. lol. but I'm a special case, I know that :P
(I had alchemy at 30-something but heh...)

11 EST on Siren, already seeing half a dozen people with this mount. So no, it's not hard to get at all, just a smidge on the grindy side.

Anyway, I'm stoked about riding a Goobue! Everytime I'm standing around, I always summon my Goobue minion and play ith him <3

Speaking as a 1.0 player with the existing goobbue mount, I cannot even begin to fathom why people are upset about the laurel goobbue. Ours is still unique; they aren't giving it away to other people. SE promised that the 1.0 specific minstrel goobbue mount would never be given out to new players and as far as I'm concerned they're well within their right to add other types of goob mounts to the game. Hell, I welcome it. It just means I have more variety when choosing which mount I use.

Its not the same mount.
If they give new era people /legacymark then by all means complain.
If you look at SE's development history equipment wise you will see its very common for them to reskin/add (unmask) small details to equipment.
If you think they were just going to develop a Goobbue mount for people who play in a few month time period and really not reuse the model at all... well now you know what to expect in the future.

They should make a quest reward that gives a legacy chocobo with greyish tail feathers instead of black. After all, it was a special mount that you only had one chance to get, but this one will be a super tiny bit different, so it's ok right? No legacy players would be upset or anything?

If it were grey and not black then no you would have no right to be upset. It is very common in every MMO game with mounts to have many diffrent skins all be considered and named as a different mount...If the fact that somone else will be able to ride a digital Goobue upsets you so much, you clearly have a sad existence.
