Lets talk pvp comps...

So with having to have 1 tank 1 healer and 2 dps, what do you guys think will be the best comp or what will you be running?

Personally thinking about recreating some good ol RMP magic but with a tank ofc.

DRG/BLM/WHM + PLD

Thinking the dragoon could play the role of rogue better with the stuns/burst than a MNK can.

Oh, being serious here...

WAR, SMN, DRG, SCH, just off the top of my head. BLMs will be basically useless since everything they do has a cast time, so just having someone constantly autoattack them will prevent them from doing anything but spamming lolscathe.

PLD/BRD/BRD/healer

Why? Bards can be assigned to casters and prevent them from casting any spells. PLDs have a lot of defensive buffs so they will be harder to take down.

DPS wise, BRD > DRG/SMN.
RMP won't work unfortunately since the long cast times of BLM make it easy for interrupts and locking down.

But who knows. We don't know the complete PvP skill lists yet so...

Well I know I'm going to be running WAR, MNK, BLM, healer, a lot because that's what my family will be playing. Me (war) and the monk will be wrecking shoppp~. Going to have to figure out how to stop the blm and healer from being mauled on too much..

That's what paladins and pillars are for just thinking raw burst just imagine a blm holding a firestarter proc, dragoon setting up his buffs ht/queuing up disembowel peeling as well of the healer or blm, jump stun to their healer while the pally stuns his target/cover on the blm so he's free to cast and having a full drg burst + raging strikes fire/scathe/insta fire 3 + maybe a swift cast flare on their healer

Shields , Dots, Silences, AoE silence with slight stun lock on Monk, Pull in effect, Binds to go around, some ground AoEs, easier pacification to trigger than paladin, Eos and Swiftcast selene and vice versa, good aoe utility, traited mantra, the list goes on.
