installing on windows 7, asks for windows vista SP2

i'm trying to install this on my computer with windows 7, but after i put the disc in, it tells me that windows vista SP2 is needed to continue. I dont know much about computers, but why would it need vista SP2 if i'm not using vista?

Did you upgrade Windows 7 from Vista?

Did you try the usual? Running as admin, make sure you're up to date, etc? Try running it in a lower OS compatability mode.

Right click on it and run it as admin. If that doesn't work, go under properties I believe, and you should be able to run it differently.

Okay, just a guess but I'm thinking that because you upgraded from Windows Vista, there is some setting somewhere that didn't get changed that FF is twigging on. If you have not done so yet, please go to Windows Update and make sure that you have installed all of the updates that are available to you (pay particular attention to Windows 7 SP1), then give it another shot with installing FF14.

i got the same problem with my new laptop.

open the cd with explorer. right klick the setup.exe (dunno the name 100%) and select properties, change to compability tab and set "run this program in mode" as windows xp SP3
