Maybe you don't understand it. Is NOT only me to want FC house, even friend in FC want it. But prices are ridicolous for a Housing. SE simple won't listen people.

Not only do I think the prices are too high for 90% of the player population, but why would a guild want to save up to buy a shack? The small FC house is the size of a small player house (hell, smaller) in almost every game that offers housing. If that is what they are offering then just let me decorate my INN room. It is about the same size. The fact that these "economic projections" take into account all the illicit gil on the server punishes every legitimate player out there that did not buy gil, did not bot, and did not gouge the economy to make a quick buck and screw over his fellow players.

In addition to all the previous issues, how exactly are FC Masters supposed to expect their FC members to donate for something that does not benefit them at all. The only benefits are to the FC masters/officers that have privileges, yet we would require everyone to donate all of their gil to be able to afford something just mediocre. They implemented no tax/tithe system, no way for the FC itself to generate money. Will it now be.... "Looking for Members for my awesome free company, 100k gil to join!" Why would anyone pay that? The people that have the most donations, in most FC's are the people who have been playing together for a long time or are real life friends. Yet, this pricing scheme makes housing unavailable for all but the largest FC's that have been selling Titan Runs(something that SE said they did not approve of, yet they rewarded it handsomely).

It blows my mind that they implement these tiny free company houses, yet price them too high for FC the appropriate size to want a small house to afford.

People who had lots of money from 1.0 made even more when 2.0 came out. They were the ones who could easily buy the philo items to make the craftable i70 gear, which was VERY profitable. So the result is that a minority of people holds huge amounts of gil while the majority has way less.
I'm not interested in complaining about gil, because there is (was?) nothing to spend it on beside materia for the little you can meld, food when you don't have gathering/cooking, repairs which are now repaid by the gil dropped by dungeon mobs... I don't even bother making any tbh, it's such a pain to make/gather something and then get undercut on the MW because people see your prices and can adjust theirs for free, so they just sit at the bell all day (cause they've got nothing else to do in game?).
In my opinion, this obsession with keeping the economy healthy (can we even call it that?) is just not the way to go. New players have a hard time making gil because there isn't, for example, any junk item to sell to the NPC, there really isn't many ways to make (and I meant actually create) money, there's just quests, gil from mobs, npc'ing (for 1 gil!!).... I think there should be more ways to make money but also more gil sinks such as consumables (not those useless potions with high cooldowns...) or even vanity items from NPC such as gear or even furniture.
The team is so scared of RMTs but at the same time, they put housing for such a high price... I personally won't put anything towards an FC house because even at 50% of what it is, I think it's a rob. Depending on the price of personal housing, I might get that. But how about granting people something very small to begin with and then allow them to buy something bigger if they prefer, so that the ones with very little money can at least have something? On another note, all that furniture you added, people will spam craft trying to get a share of it, but it won't sell because no one has a house.....
Your prices on FC housing is just a way to create a money sink, but you don't think of the 90% of the community that can't even afford a small piece of land

I'm not agreeing with either side of the argument (because I don't care about housing), but I sure do enjoy people's inability to cope with the fact SE isn't Blizzard, for better or for worse.

They've already said they aren't going to initially cave to people who want to yell the loudest. You should probably try to enjoy the other stuff the patch brought.

Yeah this is what confuses me. Housing was something pretty much everyone was asking for as something fun and casual that we could do when we bored. But as of now it's requires a massive investment, it seems kinda contradictory since only like 20% of players are even going to be able to take part in housing at patch launch.

Why the hell did you add FC housing before personal? It is so very silly and leaving a lot of people waiting 3-6 months to experience housing. Very badly implemented IMO.

It means precisely what I think it does thank you, I'm not some illiterate forum poster so stop being a condescending little jerk. I know it doesn't mean 'infinite', I'm glad you also know it's meaning.

I said INDEFINITE because right now I am indefinitely unable to purchase a house with my FC so the delay analogy wouldn't be a two month delay but an INDEFINITE one.

I'm just wanting to own my little house in Lavender Beds. I could care less about FC housing lol And now that it was mention that personal housing will be cheaper, I'm happy

Basically this is all a ploy to say "Hey we added housing" when it really means SE is too cheap to get the extra servers or hardware to support the housing system so they make the prices so insanely high that only 10% of the player base can actually afford to get one. Then they say "But the price will go down enough that in 3 months 80% of the fc's will be able to afford housing" again just proving they're too cheap to get the hardware to support what they added into the game in 3 months people may be able to afford it but not everyone just continually makes money lots of people are spending money almost as fast as they make it. So I don't see much of a change in 3 months.
