I'm in total shock over these prices and it actually feels like a painful slap in the face from SE. I've been a loyal player since the release of 1.0 and hung in there through all the horrible aspects of the game (1.0) because I put my trust AND patience into the words of Yoshi P. I remember many times over the past years how it was stated that he wanted this to be a game that both hardcore players AS WELL AS more casual players, could feel a sense of accomplishment and experience the game content. But as it stands now, the excitement and anticipation over the implementation of housing has all been a big waste of energy and now a devastating disappointment. We've all been looking forward to the housing for a long time and now we are looking at waiting another long time. I thought housing was content for 2.1...not 2-point-something-way-down-the-line. And to be honest, I think this is pretty much a breaking point for me. I just don't know if I can continue to put my faith into this game. Our FC is small, only 8-10 solid players and most are not veterans. So no FC house for us. I'm disappointed in you Yoshi.

Signed!
The prices are terrible. I was really looking forward to the housing, and was so disappointed. I don't appreciate the lock out.No reasons they give will be enough to justify those prices to my friends and I.
signing too.
When I finish work and have time to play, I have leveled most crafting class, farming most materials, spend hours digging shards, binding my own materias because I don't want to contribute to RMT business. I ran my unicorn and chocobo from areas to areas to save a few gil for teleports. I saved up about 2mil on legacy server since launch day. So I do not see how SE set the price and think our small FC will keep working on a housing even after price drops in another 3 months.
If SE promoting housing and make it not accessible for most players, this can only mean they are not ready.
Now I will just disregard this content completely till it is fixed.
Agreed. (lengthening message)
My free company is designed to be a stepping stone for newbies. Even newbies deserve to have a place to call home!
I can understand both sides of this argument. I sell stuff on the market every other day and have made some decent profit. Thing is i've always been slow on keeping up with the current trends on the market and never got involved with the big money items. People have 1mil+ to spend on the 2* Items ( prices are now of course a lot lower ) but there was a lot of money in circulation at this point and alot of players with a crafter could make 700k to a mil plus profit per sale. I can see many many people sitting on a lot of money that isn't Rmt obtained. I think the smaller and medium plots should be reduced considerably and leave the larger prices to decay as a goal for Fc's to work towards with the new gil earning methods in 2.1 . I dont think something worth having should be so easily obtained right away. Dont agree with Legacy server prices either :[
Are there people sitting on money? Sure. I can agree with that. I know some people on my server who are banking 40-50M on their toon. BUT that does not serve as a foundation for the rest of the server honestly. I'd say only a handful of people have 10M+ Gil on my server and among the smaller FCs, mine included, most don't have 5-6M across 15-20 players. Large FCs are usually non-social buff leeches and while they possibly be able to pull together the money for a large or medium house, I doubt many would pay attention to any sort of leadership let alone contribute. The prices were not thought out at all. I could understand setting prices to a semi-high level, but never as high as they have them.
I think what is very obvious is that the distribution of gil hasn't been taken into consideration. I'm sure there are some players sitting on a lot of cash but a lot more aren't. Penalising smaller FC's who want a community base is ridiculous. I'm not even talking about 10man. In fact in a way, the 20-30 people groups are in a worse position because the small housing doesn't seem big enough to be worthwhile and the medium plots are out of reach. Even though I'm not on a legacy server I feel even more for those who are, especially those who joined friends who had played 1.0.
Housing pricing is a ridiculous step and very damaging to community morale. If the servers aren't ready, then pull Housing. Don't punish players.
These prices are complete BS, not only are they ridiculously high, but it is wrong to punish people that are on wealthier servers just because there is more gill in circulation. For these reasons, I sign this.
