    Obviously that's the reason they nerfed it. I was responding to her thinking Holy was only useful for FATE grinding until the player reached level 50, so what does this have to do with my previous post? I not only use Holy for speed runs but when I'm spirit bonding and leveling my chocobo on my own.

    What's wrong with doing speedrun by killing everything with AoE? at first they don't want us to skip trash mobs, it's understandable. but now we didn't skip anything, we kill them all with AoE and that still isn't the way they want us to play the game so they nerfed Holy? holy cow, what should we do to make developers happy?

    Play the game only the way they clearly outline you to be allowed to. SE has always been notorious in XI for changing anything that didn't fit their view of how the game "should be played". The problem is their idea of how the game should be played is very slowly, very casually, and with as many obstacles as humanly possible.

    SMN is losing a skill that synergizes well with the job's design to get what is essentailly a weak duplicate of a spell it already has.

    WHM is getting a nerf to holy as well as losing thunder. This nerf is semi-justified.

    BLM is getting scathe nerfed. It isn't that great of a spell in the first place (though it has its uses). I don't see it used that much so maybe I'm missing something here? but why nerf it?

    WHM is fine
    SCH is losing utility but gaining a minor buff
    SMN is losing utliilty and losing 10% overall DPS and gaining another crossclass we'll never use

    I'm not mad I guess? I'm more confused than anything, why in the world would you make Thunder Thm/Blm only and give Blizz 2 as a cross class? I for one haven't used Thunder I in a while, II in rotation and proc with III. The Scathe thing is annoying at best even though I do use it a lot (slimes in coil, kiting when need be, killing succubus before she gets to the party in ak) and the virus thing I can see being problematic but it would make a virus rotation a little easier. What gets me the most and is completely reasonable is that the Allagan feet will have different stats. I know they had the same stats as the myth as all but meh really don't wana spend more myths on BLM.

    If they hate speed runs so much, why do they allow people to lock out mobs by holding them on the purple line before the bosses?

    the main reason is not that they hate speedrun. they probably hate mages. it's been like this since 1.0.
