But you're seriously complaining about *tiny* balance changes and then saying that your classes are being "ground into the dust" and "destroyed" as a result. I could almost understand if you were a Bard, since that class has been hit rather heavily this patch. But when you're complaining about stuff like a 20 potency reduction on a situational spell that has no place in your DPS rotation, it's tough to take you seriously.

    You get Golds if you group up to FATE and even with Holy spam you won't get Gold solo no matter what. They nerfed it for a nitpick and even though the only DoM/ DoW I have is 50 Whm, I really don't care. I can solo spirit bond with earth II quicker. Gathering beast mats also works better using Earth II because spawns aren't there for Holy spam.

    I'm more shocked by the fact they made us getting an useless blizzard II spell as cross skill while we have Tri-Disaster anyway? It's minimally weaker but it's ranged, lasts longer and has our unique casting animation =_=
    Guess they wanted to kill 2 birds with 1 stone here.

    And don't think Scholars got away that easily either. It's true they got a Lustrate buff ( which is nice btw lol) but they still share the Virus and Bane nerf(yeah I call it a nerf because bane wasn't supposed to be limited in the first place according to the description.

    Funny enough I was hoping they will buff Tri-Disaster and Enkindle trololol... xd

    Haha, "destroy SMN for good." Do you actually play SMN? Do you know how Obey and Steady work, or what they're used for? This statement demonstrates that you are getting up in arms over absolutely nothing, or that you are not actually reading the patch notes properly before you take to the forums to complain.

    The change is a GOOD thing, not a nerf. Obey is a command, Steady is a stance. All they did is make it so that placing the pet into Steady and using the Obey command (which Scholars do all the time to let them micromanage the fairy's buffs), and then issuing another command of any kind, won't automatically put it back to Guard mode where the AI starts using certain abilities again. Thus allowing people who micromanage their pets to do so more effectively without having to fight the AI every time.

    While I can't comment on ACN or CNJ class and job changes, I'm not terribly miffed with the THM/BLM changes. First off, people never really use Blizzard 2 outside of FATE farming, or just for some consistent AoE damage against weaker dungeons mobs (Morbol Seedlings in AV, and Spriggans in the first CBM boss fight come to mind). Its addition as a cross-class skill is okay--it gives a decent AoE to low level CNJ and ACN, so that's nice. Scathe... meh, it's not that big of a deal. I only use it as a finisher against weaker mobs, or if I'm having to kite monsters for a short while. The loss of Thunder as a cross-class ability isn't really that big of a deal. Yeah, it means CNJ and ACN lose a DoT, but it was never something I considered to be 'essential' when playing as them.

    Now, Freeze getting those buffs is great. I'm not even joking, I'm legitimately excited. We finally get a viable, ranged ice AoE to use. Now, if only they'd make Apocatastasis useful...

    EDIT: ...something like, "Reduce all magical damage against the targeted party member by 25% for 10 seconds." That'd actually be worth something, rather than just boosting their resistance stat.

    Not a nerf when it performs better than it used to (longer range). The tooltip was and has been wrong since launch, this is just fixing a bugged tooltip.

    lol you obviously don't know how to solo fates. As soon as I got Holy, I was getting gold soloing fates every time. Working harder does not equate to working smarter....


    And yes, I despise these changes. What were they thinking.... if they were thinking.
