So I was reading the notes and just wondering if I missed it (didn't see anything but really long patch notes)
Are they fixing two star food to actually be worthwhile?

"Players will no longer lose the effects of food items upon being incapacitated."
Use ctrl find. It's about half way down of that wall of txt.
I meant more along the lines of the +% being so much lower than lvl 45 food that they aren't worthwhile to use until ~ilvl 100-110
Yeah that's what I was afraid of... kind of a bummer. Oh well, at least the level 45 food is cheap!

I don't understand, are you saying the bouns stats from food are low? I use La Norcea Toast and it gives me +15 vit, I don't consider it to be that low. In fact, anything above that is kind of overkill.
He's talking about Two Star Food. The max amount of Vit you can get is more than Toast, but since the % is so low, NO ONE can get it, and you actually get less stats out of it than lower level food.
For Example:
La Noscean Toast
Vitality 3% Max 11
Accuracy 2% Max 7
Parry 4% Max 18
Finger Sandwich (Double Star Recipe)
Vitality 2% Max 15
Accuracy 2% Max 9
Parry 3% Max 22
My Paladin has 480 Vit outside of a party currently. You can get full VIT benefit from Toast with less than 400 VIT. Finger Sandwich? You'd need 750 VIT. Something no one has.
But let's do some Math.
My current stats. My Acc is high since I had to switch over gearing Healer to Tank so I don't have optimal pieces yet.
With Toast With Sandwich
VIT: 480 491 489-490
ACC: 497 504 506
Parry: 501 519 516
Accuracy is the only stat I'd get more of from the Double Star food. And that's the least useful. The rest are worse.

Fix? it dont need one.
i Have 491 vit, 534 parry, 470 acc.
Toast HQ 5% parry(23), vit 4%(14), acc 2% (9)
Finger HQ 4% parry(27), vit 3%(19), acc 2% (11)
Toast HQ buff me [parry 23(max), vit 14(max), acc 9 (max)]
Finger HQ buff me [parry 21,36(no-max), vit 14'73(no-max), acc 9,4(no-max)]
Using finger i lose 1,64 parry, but i get more vit and acc.
Wearing better gear will improve my stats, so finger sandwich HQ give me more stats than toast.
The matter is, "you must use the food will improve you".
It's not about how many of what you can get in an hour to craft it, it's the % gain of a specific stat on 2 star meals compared to lvl 45 ones that he is talking about
The thread is about fix 2 stars food.
Now we are talking about what is more useful. coil gear, CT and DL: toast > Finger. Patch 2.2 (gear ilevel 95-100) finger > toast
How do you know before any of the gear is actually announced, that it's going to be enough of a stat boost to actually achieve the max percentages (or even enough to give more than 1 more point in any of those stats). I'm not sure if you noticed, but in full ilvl 90 gear he gained a whooping 1 point in two of the stats. So if we go along current gear progression, and assume they aren't going to have that major of a stat boost, then ilvl 95-100 gear really isn't going to net that much better stuff.
Also, who says that crafting stuff can't be improved when new content and gear is released? We have no information on 2.2 yet. There could be entirely new foods and recipes added (along with new gear since ilvl 90 will no longer be top tier).
