Mog Houses - Are you glad they are gone? I'm miss them.

I am of the opinion that FFXI was the closest MMO to perfect yet (still far off). Mog Houses provide a sort of ownership within the game. Not only was I expecting a follow up MMO to have Mog Houses, but I figured SE would have expanded on the idea. I figured there'd even be some player housing that could be purchased on the city Streets (for the uber-rich).

How cool would it be to look at a house and say, "Did you just see that guy go in there? He probably plays this game 20 hours per day!!" While I don't have time to play the game that much, the people who do should be rewarded.

Please give us Mog Houses and Real Estate!! It will help impress the big reviewers!!

Yeah, mog houses gave you your own personal space that you could do whatever you wanted with. I don't know why the decided to go with a retainer.

I don't know about you guys but i personally only spend about 5 to 10% of my game time in any town. if there was any kind of space like this i would personally like to see it be linkshell or company based. but then again i would hardly use it due to me being out in the field finding new and exciting ways to get my digital skull caved in.

I think they should add some sort of housing for players but not mog houses. Here again, this is supposed to be a new game separate from FFXI yet people want to add stuff from XI into XIV. I think the idea of stand alone houses for players to buy would be an awesome concept. I mean, if star wars galaxies can do it, why cant square enix?

But i didn't spend a lot of time there... but its your space and it was just nice to have.

Housing would be very nice and giving us ways to decorate it and display trophies. Bigger house than ff11 would be also very nice, maybe make rent on room count, like in eq2?

There is a ton of open undeveloped real estate in Eorzea, SE should take advantage of that and give us housing communities and company halls, I mean how cool would it be to have a company hall surrounded by smaller member housing. It may not be something everyone gets into but it is still something there for if you want to. And the OP is correct player housing if done right does impress reviewers.

I believe sometime ago either Yoshi P or the previous producer mentioned that companies would be possibly tied with properties and even housing.

I hope that's still something they're working own because player or group owned property could be extremely interesting

Yeah, I personally liked having a mog house in FFXI and I definitely miss this in FFXIV. It feels weird not having a place to change class, etc (even though you can do it anywhere really). This is like one of my top ten things I've like to see added to FFXIV.
