    lost at lvl 15

I may need to quit this game. I keep running out of quests at lvl 15 or so. Everything just drops off. Am I doing something wrong? I'm trying to get past what ever lvl barrier I'm at but I have very little to do. No main quests for some time....and this is on 3 different toons I've made to try to get past this weird lvl barrier....help plz.

Did you do the Lv15, 16, and Lv17 dungeons? those advance the plot.

Also, do FATEs, those will get you a level every 15-20mins.

I had the exact same problem. Leveled at a really good clip until about 17 or so (I over leveled the main quest a bit thanks to running a lot of side quests). Then every thing slowed down considerably once I finished the Airship quest aand left my starting city.

The advice I got from my FC mates was really good so I will pass it on to you: Do dungeons when you can, they pile on good XP and Loot. Do Fates whenever the pop up. Also do Guildhests and Guildleves as those will benefit you nicely. And the really big thing I overlooked was my Hunting Log. Open your Hunting Log and look at the XP values on those suckers. Follow that and you will start catching up.

I was doing quest chains back to back in the WoW style just like you were but there are many many more options to level with here that I didn't see before. Queue for a dungeon around your level, then track down hunting log targets and guildleves , and dive into nearby Fates. You'll get back up to speed.

You will gain massive exp from FATEs alone. Ive seen ppl get from Lv1-50 in 2/3 days from FATE grinding alone.

But yes, Guildleves are like daily quests, you gain 3 every so many hours.
Guildhests give a good exp bonus your 1st time (2 every 5 levels after Lv15)

Dungeons give a nice chunk, but not as much as FATEs yet. (in 3 days, they will generate 150% more exp)

Do your class quests, to unlock abilities, and then you should have the Hunters Log.
Press H, and hunt down the mobs. Each group grants exp, and once you cleared all mobs in a level range, you are rewarded a massive chunk of exp. (almost a levels worth)

But yes, doing the main storyline and class quests at Lv10+, I always had more exp than i needed until dungeons, and as long as i did dungeons to gear myself up, i over leveled the main scenario quests.

I've only done 1 quest in this whole game, that wasnt main scenario or class/job quest.
(dont forget food for the 3% bonus, and rest exp by logging out at camps)

have you started the "It's Probably Pirates" quest? that's probably where your stuck, you need to do Sastasha(dungeon) to continue

Here is the list of the main quest(spoiler alert) if you want to look http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Ca...Scenario_Quest

There is a lull or not so easy to follow quest chain after the grand trip around the 3 main cities, then you for some reason end up needing to go to each inn for a dungeon run then its back on track with the story, a bit jarring going from important person back to common hireling for dungeon runs.

Guildleves are good for xp when you dont have anything else to do. They are kinda "instant quests".

FATEs, like everyone else said. Level 15ish? Go to Hawthorn Hut in Gridania, or Aleport in Limsa and join a group there.

Each Guildhest(different from Guildleves) gives a massive xp bonus the first time you do it.

And you should also be about set for the first 3 instanced dungeons. Plenty of non-quest xp to be had.

You really feel the absence of quests when you start leveling other classes.
