    Is UI lag recognized as a problem?

    Hey there, first time poster here.

    I bought this game a short while ago, I had read the reviews so I knew what I was getting myself into.

    There's a lot of problems, but I found that I will be able to deal with all of them except one thing: the UI lag. For me, every action, even scrolling, takes a short to long amount of time to "do something" and quite frankly it's driving me crazy.

    Now, since I'm an RTFM guy I tried finding this in the report posts and dev update blog where I found nothing. Then I googled it and apparently the responses were "UI lag is pretty much gone", well for me it's not, although I can't compare to what it used to be.

    Just to clarify, the constant moving around of panels and the camera reacting to something counts as lag as far as I'm concerned, it's the time between *click* and *action* that is so unnerving (plus the fact that you sometimes have to do an absurd amount of clicks for a very simple action, but I guess I'll get around to macros at some point later).

    So, as this seems to have been partially addressed, the answer to my problem has become much less obvious (which would have been: fixxit) so I figured I would ask here if any of you guys know anything about this or whether I'm even the only one being annoyed by this:

    Is UI lag still recognized as a problem? Have they said anything about a desire to fix it? Have they ever even mentioned it?

    I will be very grateful for any helpful replies.

    No, it's largely considered to be an ongoing problem. you're not the only one.

    Okay, that's relieving to know, but would you know if they have ever made mention of this being a problem in their eyes as well? (they being Square-Enix)

    UI is considered to be one of the features they'd like to make lot of improvements on, but I can't recall them ever using input delay as a specific example.

    Yes, the incessant window menus doesn't help with the UI lag either. And you'd think they'd add menus for when someone invites you, instead of having to open your menu, select the party invite, then to get to the menu to select whether or not you want to join... I don't remember FFXI being so damn complicated to do the most menial tasks.

    The UI lag HAS gotten better since release, but the game has a LONG way to go before it could be considered worth paying per month for.
