    1 drop in crystal tower a week? This is rediculous

    Who else agrees that 1 drop a week is a bit rediculous? Id understand 3 or so, but one? At that rate it would take 2 months to gear up one job in just ilvl 80 stuff, not to mention that once people get their item they will just leave the raid..There is no point in making it 1 item except to milk the content, but that much limit will just kill it. Please fix this so it is more rewarding for players to do this raid. Thanks.

    I disagree.

    If anything, this is probably the one thing that SE did right with this patch.

    Reason is: It's a 24-man set up (3 teams of 8) who are all vying for loot and to complete the content. Do you honestly want 24 people bickering and fighting over loot that is going to be easily replaced by Mythology gear soon? The gear item level is only to serve as a buffer zone between Darklight and Allagan/Mythology gear. Honestly, for the most part, aside from a couple instances (Titan Heart Phase / Coil Turn 2 (minimal) and Turn 4) there are no real GEAR CHECKS. Why? Gear is subsequent to player skill in most cases in this game. Tanks rely more on gear for mitigation, sure, but for threat generation? Not really. Healers, aside from the piety and vitality, not a whole lot and DPS is mostly based off Main Hand weapon damage. It truly comes down to do you know your rotation and do you do it correctly?

    Also, Crystal Tower is much like Coil of Bahamut as it is a ladder battle. Aside from the few who no-life the game; Crystal Tower I'd say may take one whole day to clear, maybe two. Then you have Coil runs for FCs and randoms who most to clear to Turn 4 at least will take 2 days, in between crafting, dungeons and getting your Tomes for the week, I'd say you have a pretty full table for a weeks worth of stuff only to do it all over again the next week. One drop a week is not going to be terrible and if the only rewarding thing you get out of running content is gear drops, then I'd advise you not to run content.

    By this time a lot of players have almost half 90 gear for several jobs anyways. 1 80 gear a week is fine imo.

    You seem to have misinterpreted the post. I myself run coil and have only gotten one drop in the whole time. I'm not worried about that, I still have fun with it. Here's the point, I played all jobs becuase I enjoyed all jobs, and with the current system I am pretty much forced to play a single job, maybe 2 if I'm stretching, unless I'm loaded with gil and can craft gear for 7 different class needs, or grind tomes for months, just to obtain ilvl70 gear. Which to me, after watching some of the videos on the extremes and such, probably will be a gear check (and item level required). I'm almost forced to make alts just to be able to run and gear up seperate classes just to be able to keep up with friends, and the content being released, which I thought, was the difference between games like WoW and FFXIV.

    Hell, Coil I'm actually fine with the one and done lockout, it forces players to play with their best in their static and progress, but what about all the other jobs I like to play? Some may call it greed to want to gear up your characters, but it really is the end game and point of all mmos; keep up with content, be geared enough to experience new things, and I've never been one to stick to one job/character becuase I like diversity.1 item a week - gonna make that really hard. For you it may seem as its serving as a gap between darklight and coil, for me, it was going to serve as a way to keep up on some of my other jobs while I "main" my one or two. Anyway, it may not be the same for others, but then again, everyone pays for there mmo for different reasons.

    Also, the post about 24 members of the same shell did have some merit. FC/LS people probably wouldnt leave a raid half way in becuase they got their piece of gear. Do you really have that much faith in the current MMO'r to do the same, becuase I dont.

    Oh poor thing, the classes that hardly ever get played on a progression based momentum aren't getting any gear. - That's rich.

    My main is a SCH. I also have a SMN/MNK/WHM. They are geared enough for Coil sure (Relics/DL) but do they get played progressively? No. They are WP dummies. What do I need gear on them for? Same goes for most other people who are apart of progressive raiding FCs. They have one class they play and master and that is it.
