Aesthetician is all I need.
It was the only thing I was looking forward to as someone who loved decking out my mog house in XI. Now they expect people to pay 8 million gil for a house the size of one persons mog house in XI.......seriously this is a joke. Good to see they are already deleting threads complaining about it though, apparently the only thing SE can do swiftly is moderate forums.
I had a feeling SE was going to be doing their typical misinformation crap but I'm only being charged $7.99 a month (legacy/180 day) so... I'll probably keep subbing not like I really want to go back to WoW. All I do there is stare at my ugly toon standing in front of a mailbox. At least in 14 I can stand around and stare at my rather adorable lalafell instead.
Housing was going to be my dream for this patch, I'm litteraly going to need to hawk the markets for oportunities to make mad gil.
Saved up a million gil and have been gimping my fighting classes to save gil instead of power up my character, I see saving the cash was a wasted effort as my 2 man free company are going to have a hard time affording even the smallest housing plot in the poorest part of town.
So on Hyperion the smallest, crappiest plot of land is 20 million gil. I'm in a very small free company with 7 or 8 other real life friends. We will never be able to pay that. Ever. Even after 3 months when the price is cut down to 10 million gil, we still won't be able to afford this. I don't understand why they are adding a housing system and then gating it such that only the very rich or very large free companies will be able to do anything with it. It's a horrible design decision and shows that Square Enix still doesn't understand how to properly run and design an MMO. Systems like housing only work if they are easily accessible to the entire player population. Congrats SE on yet another awful design decision. Well done.

I'm still excited, just baffled at all the class and job adjustments to the disciples of magic, that, from what I had gathered in previous discussions were going to stay the same. If you take all of the changes made to Thaumaturges, Conjurers and Arcanists and to their respective jobs, it's extremely harsh. But anyways, there are enough threads about that already. I'm still looking forward to the content, generally speaking.
Let it burn.
I'm mostly disapointed in the direction Free Companies seem to be going. When I heard the cap on membership was 512, I thought maybe they'd do some really epic stuff. Instead they've pretty much set the game up for 4 man > add another 4 man to make a 8 man. The highest content is 24 man. There's literally no reason to have more than 30 or so people in a free company and it sounds like you can get by with 8 active members because there's no way to preform an alliance for CT.
500+ people chipping in 1.5mil gil would be doable but I don't know that there are that many huge FC's D: (not to mention even in the largest shown housing I can't imagine 500 people fitting into one of those houses without crashing it)

Not excited at all, but will remain subbed to play with my friends.
Same as before.
Besides, Hildebrand was all I required.
