FC Housing costs for these Worlds: I can't even math anymore~!

It's just SE slowly taking away everything from legacy players, except this time there's huge collateral damage with all the new players on legacy worlds.

They take away 90% of our gil and claim that everything will be balanced to go along with the redenomination. Fine, whatever.

They give everyone Goobbue mounts despite it being a "1.0 only" promotion. Um.. ok...

Then they nail us with absolutely absurd prices for housing, effectively telling all legacy players to "fork over all your remaining gil or you don't get to take part in something we've been hyping you up for for well over a year." In turn, they do the same thing to thousands of others on legacy servers who can't leave the server even if they wanted to because legacy servers are still locked from transferring to new servers.

How long before they lower the subscription costs down to legacy levels for everyone after they see how many people quit?

All in all, everything just amounts to a giant F&%k you to anyone that supported this game when it really needed it and they don't care who else gets shafted because of it.

Anyway, I think SE probably have their own reasons for implementing such a ridiculous price for housing on these servers but what they did not take into consideration:

1) Not every player on these server are legacy players. Some are non-legacy players who joined their friends on these servers.
2) Not every player farms gil on a daily basis.
3) Not every player is rich.

Example: 625,000,000 will be halved after the deed is not bought for 3 months, which is 312,500,000.

How many '3 months' will we have for this game if SE keeps making bad decisions like this.

This is a game. Contents should be made available for everyone, meaning even if there are gonna be restrictions, the restrictions should be reasonable and justifiable.

What I personally think SE should have done: Make a fixed housing cost for ALL worlds regardless of Legacy or Non-Legacy, and 1.5 higher cost for Legacy instead of double. Make a max cap of 100,000,000 Gil for the most expensive plot of land. What they are doing now is they brought, 1) World population, 2) World population's overall wealth into factor for FC housing. This is just plain stupid. This is a game, NOT a country.

What I feel like right now: I am a citizen in a country called "YoshiP". I am a common folk like the majority. Unable to have a roof over my head due to ridiculous pricing set by the "government". The "government" only thought of the minority instead of the majority of the country's people.

In conclusion: SE made a really bad decision and did not take the majority of the players into consideration.

Is this still a game anymore?

What I think we can do right now, is to voice our unhappiness and reasons for this ridiculous price for FC housing on medias like:

and much more.. and maybe.. just maybe.. SE may wake up from their idea and do things right for people on these worlds..

well not like i can afford even cheapest on my server my FC is dead my LS are douches who tell me to join another server, RMT aka AK+ primal HM run sellers i have about 50k in my bank i cant afford half of the crap in the patch notes aka im stuck on Garuda HM quest because of quitters+ troll tanks !!!

Suddenly, the 350k I was planning on depositing to the company coffer seems a tad insignificant....

As does the millions I've saved up to put towards the housing, oh well, time to go on a shopping spree since SE doesn't want my FC to own a house. Maybe buying some highend gear to put on mules and level all mules to lvl50, cause since I no longer have a reason to spend time earning gil, I now have a ton of free time to do stupid things like leveling mules.

You guys surely are harsh when it comes to typos. It's like none of you has ever made typo in your life. Even in that super important assignment that accounts for 50 % of your total mark.

What I enjoy thinking about was a month ago SE basically banned anyone that had more than 8m gil due to questionable RMT activities. Now you launch your biggest feature that you have been throwing in everyone's face since before launch and you make it to where everyone needs to thrown in 8m gil roughly to buy the house they want for the FC. Yet another wonderful design decision by incompetent people that can't do basic math. The avg player that isn't exploiting other's by selling titan kills has probably between 200-300K gil. Where they get the avg's to be so high as to justify 250m for land is beyond all reason. No way in hell is smaller FC's going to be able to enjoy the fruits of there labor at those prices. Granted we get more gil from leve's and dailies and such but knowing SE idea of gil rewards they will likely give 800-1K gold per quest and at a 6 quest per day lockout yea good luck with that option.

Exactly, with all those gil bans being handed out, wtf were they thinking with the housing's prices. We wanted it since 2.0, were told to wait until 2.1, we waited without a release date FOREVER, then we get videos of the housing and a release date and apologies for being made to wait for so long, only to now reveal that 99.999% of those playing won't ever set foot inside of the houses, not even the small ones... SE has me all kinds of pissed right now, I don't even feel like logging in, I'm gonna spend the rest of the night playing Halo 4 and tomorrow I'm playing FFXI, in my eyes, Final Fantasy XIV has stopped existing for the rest of the weekend.

I think the typo thing is a bit blown out of proportion but it's painfully obvious someone half arsed their job when you actually ready the post. It's not rocket science to proofread something miss a mistake or twelve sure? But whole hog get so many things wrong?v

Granted it was a big post...but someone got a bit too confident in his abillity to copy/paste everything. sections repeat jobs are missing and replaced with abillities it's like the guy who he sent the page to proofread didn't even bother to check it.

Not surprised, looking at how many nice little features in early alpha/beta were removed for the release build.
