WHAT?! 625 Million for first class House?

Exactly... if the goal is to spin out the enjoyment of housing, getting the plot/house in the first place should be one of the LEAST expensive steps. Because that way, we can get the lot, then get the house, THEN take our time gradually filling it out with Cool Stuff as we get the money/materials for it. (And that would be a much better gil sink, for that matter.)

Instead, there's not going to be any enjoyment *to* spin out. It's going to be a matter of:

a) FCs just go without, and have envy for any FCs who actually *can* afford this key content for the patch,

b) FCs do grind up the gil to eventually get one, but it leaves a bad taste in their mouth for having to go through such obnoxious grinding and tedium,

c) FCs somehow do have the gil to shell out for it, but with that much free gil floating around in their accounts, the piddling amount on top of it for furniture doesn't mean a thing, and it's still gone through in a heartbeat.
