It's especially brazen of them considering they'd spent the past 3 months telling us that all servers would have the same pricing. Whilst I understand that it's not exactly feasible, the 335mil price tag is literally ludicrous.

I too am part of a legacy FC that has been essentially saving since 2.0 launch. The phrase "Can't wait for our castle!" has been tossed around several times, and we have all been pretty set on that goal. Nor were we too naive (we thought) with regards to pricing, expecting a price tag ranging anywhere from 10-50mil as we weighed up both best and worse case scenarios. This... THIS, is just something else. The large house should have a large price tag. It should be a bragging right. It should be rare and provide e-peen etc. But even at 50mil, I would have thought that would be impressive enough.

Yoshi may have well undone all his hard work at redeveloping this game with this.

And beyond that, even if it is a "luxury" item, it's one that's been hyped pretty much since launch as a Really Big Thing for ALL the players to look forward to, and a huge selling point for this patch. To then have them turn around and slap us in the face saying "HA hah! Just kidding players, it's only for a very very few of you... oh, and you guys who decided to start new on a legacy server to play with friends or even get a fresh start... double screw you!".... no wonder people are angry and disappointed.

The only way the average size free company could afford these large plots of land is if thier members hacked/RMTd/botted or came accross the 312 mil through other nefarious means. It is obscene and SE needs to re-evaluate their pricing.

I think one of the biggest mis-leading concepts here is that we were all under the assumption that Housing would be AVAILABLE as of 2.1, not some long term endgame goal to be achieved. I've got a Role-Playing Free Company of about 130 people on Gilgamesh, and I'm proud of our ability to raise 10 million gil since launch. The argument now seems to have changed to whether or not housing is a luxury or not. If we want to use the real world as a parallel, housing is NOT a luxury. NICE houses are, certainly, but everyone needs a roof over their head. Now let's remove the real-world parallel. Housing will be immediately available for those Companies that reach the new appropriate rank and throw out some insurmountable slush fund into the gil sink that SE has created while the 99.9% rest of us scramble to the broken marketing economy to hock our wares at deflated prices due to botters and RMT. SE drew a line in the sand, and they're the only ones on the other side of it.

I just read this... and holy hell. What in the hell? A large house for Diabolos is 100-125 Million gil????? Are you freaking kidding me??? How rich do they think we are? Sure I suppose there may be a few FC's that can manage that, maybe even a good handful or two at most. (though I'm thinking there's maybe 5 prominent FC's that can handle that money and that's about it) Holy freaking cow.. All I can say is that I hope personal houses are far cheaper because there's no freaking way I am ever going to get that much gil without devoting years and years to accumulating the gil needed.

And damn do I feel bad for the servers that got it even worse that we did. So.. yeah. Guess I won't be seeing a house for a while.

my servers prices are god awful our fc was raising money for one thinking it would be around a mil or so but yea we were off by 100x
