What i want to know is ... why is a thread with already over 300 replies ... and i'm sure getting faster views than most threads ... not in the hot topics section on the main forum page?

I never see anything but threads with few views and replies there ... is it bugged? >.>

It's a plugin system, and is likely using a cache. It may also focus on new threads, but still only update every hour or two. Hard to say without knowing which plugin they're using, really.

So all you legacy server FC's that took in new players? Yea, they are a liability now. You need strong Gil earners to make it in FF14. Dump the dead weight.

Throwing in another voice for the prices are too damn high thread. Cause.. well they are. I understand wanting people to work for housing. Anything beyond the lowest kinda seems out of our range though (and even the lowest is going to be a lot of work to obtain). My FC doesn't make people donate, or play the market, or anything like that. We've had a few members that donated a fairly large amount, most didn't donate anything, so we're sitting around the 2mil mark of things saved figuring it was safe based on a comment about it costing about the same as x number of players going from 1-50.

My FC does not have a lot of crafters in it. We haven't really been left with a whole lot of active people (a lot have quit either to frustration with getting hit by aoes they were out of, or boredom from running the same dungeons over and over). Realistically, not everyone is going to donate to the fund for housing, and even if people do then the realistic amount is probably in the 50k-100k range and not in the millions. At the prices now, my FC is never going to see a nice house. That isn't to say people aren't working for things. We have people that gather mats for consumables, help each other do dungeons, and self-provide for the FC. It just seems like unless you're good at playing the market, and do it quite often, FC housing is not going to be for you.. and considering the audience this type of content usually caters to, that's not really a smart move.

Being a staunch supporter of this game and this series, i can (after a fassion) understand why this was setup the way it was. Even so i can't help but be dissapointed. I have been a member since 1.0 ce beta, and have looked foward to alot even when the vast majority wrote off this game. I understand that since im a casual player i will miss out on somethings, as i am not a hardcore player, but this seems unfair in my opinion. SE for what ever reason seems to favor the idea of rewarding those who use exploits/ cheats to consume content... the very same who turn around complain at the lack of content they used every short cut to complete. With all thats being done to bring the community togeather this seems counter productive, contnuiously segregating people like this just breeds contempt. I hope this changes, i know the prices will drop eventually but seriously more thought should have put into this.

So let me get this straight...

1) SE decides to make all our gil from 1.0 10% value in an attempt to scale back the overall economy meaning less would be more.

2) They start banning people who have accrued (in their eyes) too much gil since the release of 2.0. Sending a message against gil hoarding.

3) SE releases housing for FCs that is ridiculously overpriced and starts limiting drops on new dungeons.

Sounds like a lack of future content to me. It is either that or a message to casual and semi-hardcore players that they should pack up and go. I sure hope these houses do something besides look pretty.

I would think to make it fair they set the price of the housing lower and charge a maintenance fee. The method they are using is going to kill off small/mid size FCs. We will see how this goes however and see what new elitism/theivery it creates.

Even as a hardcore player I would never be this stupid to waste so much on a house. SE can gtfo with these prices lol.

We do have enough money for it but not dumb enough to spend that much...it is not worth it.

What else exactly are you going to use Gil for? So far it's the most worthless thing in the game, with the adjustments to Dark Matter from Grand Comapnies, I don't think I'll ever really have to spend Gil again...
