FC house pricing is appropriate for the size of the FC. Large houses are for FCs with 100+ members. Small houses are for FCs with <20 members. If you run the numbers, each member's contribution doesn't get much higher than 1 million gil each which is actually about the same as leveling 1-50 three or four times (I made 300k from my 1-50 ACN), regardless of house size. If you're a tiny FC with 10 members, 625 million is an outrageous amount of money but that's because those huge houses are NOT DESIGNED FOR A COMPANY OF THAT SIZE.

If all 30 members of your FC contributed 1 million each, you could buy a medium sized house, which is the appropriate size for an FC of your size. At 1.2 million each, you can buy the best medium house. 1 million each isn't hard. I made 1 million last week.

if you take the time to look at what sells well on the marketplace, it's really easy to make 1mil. Couple that with gathering mats from miner/bot that sell decently, or farming mob drop mats between needing to replenish your selling stock/checking for undercutters, and you're making a hell of a lot.

I've made 1M in a few days through materia while leveling my Chocobo, it's not something I'd recommend though.

I know crazy right? SE clearly stated that housing would cost 3-4 times how much you make from 1-50. I earned 300k going from 1-50 and I'd say I'm about average. 3-4 times that is about 1 million gil. If I donated that money to my FC and every other member of my FC did the same, we'd be able to buy a house of the appropriate size for the company.

20 people = small company = 20 million gil = small house
75 people = medium company = 75 million gil = medium house
250 people = large company = 250 million gil = large house

Look, I don't really wanna get into it with you, but the problem for many is this simple:

My friends and I have played this game since 1.0 launch. We saved, we worked together, we played fair. We STLL can't logically afford a 'good' house on our server. So while I agree that 'not everyone should have a big house' A FC of 40 active members should be able to afford a 'big house' after 2+ years of playing the game....without totally bankrupting themselves. I don't need to be house poor.

No, a "big" FC should be able to afford a "big" house. 40 members is considered "medium". You should be able to afford a "medium" house if everyone puts in a decent amount of effort.

You need to get your FC rank to 6 anyway before you can buy a land. That has got to be at least 6 hours. It should save you 14% of the cost lol, though I don't feel there is a difference.

Well well, at least we not know what our individual player housing would be like in 2.2. Time to farm some, lol.
