    Compensate us for lost subscription time.

    Despite the fact that I have repeatedly lost many hours of play time right in the middle of my prime play window, I have remained silent about this until now, but the 2.1 patch announcement is the last straw for me, it needs to be said.

    Whether we function under the axiom of "The customer is always right." in English, or "The customer is god." in Japanese, removing the game from service for a planned 24 hour window without offering to compensate us a free day on our subscriptions is just plain doing it wrong.

    I'm not asking for back compensation for the excessive server down times from tons of 'new game patching', it's just a part of playing an MMO shortly after launch, but when you intend to take the game down for a full 24 hour window, you need to compensate your paying players for their lost time. Other MMOs run by companies I like and respect less than SE have delivered better customer service on similar issues in the past, and I really want to see SE do this right.

    NO compensation is needed for 24 hours down time. It is to be expected but if they took the servers down for a week or more than I could agree with you.

During these times, access to the Game or support services may be interrupted. Access may also be temporarily suspended in whole or in part, without notice, due to emergency repairs, fire, flood, explosion, war, strike, embargo, governmental action or failure to act, the act of any civil or military authority, act of God, or by any other causes beyond Square Enix's control, or any other reasons for which Square Enix, in its sole discretion, deems that temporary suspension is necessary. You acknowledge that disruptions of service may occur and waive any causes of action against Square Enix in any way arising from or related to any such disruptions of service.

    lol actually that was very serious, regarding previous history in where the Master data center is located, already nuclear meltdowns, tsunamis and typhoons in the past several years has happened there.

    It's in the extended warranties you purchase as well... it's a standard disclaimer that means if it gets hit by lightning, drowned in a flood, etc. Crushed in an Earthquake would also be considered an 'Act of God'.

    Although I wonder if that would cover the act of multiple gods (ie Roman/Greek Pantheon) as opposed to the Christian 'single' God...? probably does, but it could be a loophole, if you can prove that it was the work of multiple gods and not just one.

    It's part of the ToA you signed to even start playing the game... Seriously, is it really that hard to skim through those things? They have the right to deny service while providing maintenance. Also, they are adding A TON OF STUFF in this patch. Literally, a metric ton. It takes time to load it to the servers and test that it is working properly. If you want a sub-par game, go play one. Otherwise, get over it and keep paying to play this amazing game.
