Several questions for this rotation:
#1... HT [IR] PH [BFB] ID [LegSwp] DisEm [PS] CT [Jump] TT [SSD] VT [LS] FT [DragonFire]
#2... HT PH Frac TT VT FT TT VT FT (LegSwp goes somewhere here)
#3... HT PH Frac ID Disem [Jump] CT TT VT FT
#4... HT PH Frac TT VT FT TT VT (LegSwp goes somewhere here)
#5... Start from #1 again, all buffs finish CD and are ready.
1. Is this the best rotation to have a DRG in a sandbag situation?
2. Why do people discourage using Fracture?
3. If 2 is true, would it be more optimal to omit Fracture from #2, 3, 4, and just proceed accordingly?
4. Is it optimal to allow all buffs to finish CD and restart #1, or should buffs like IR, which get CD reset first, be used immediately in the start of #2 , 3, 4?
5. I find it difficult to squeeze in Spine Shatter Dive somewhere, mainly and also all of the Jumps have such a long animation that they overlap an entry into the next attack, so they tend to waste time. Spine Shatter in the above rotation though, which is used after TT, overlaps a large gap of time in VT, to the point where if each attack is not precise, Dragonfire will not receive HT buff in time. In other words, is there a better method to squeezing in the Jumps?
Lastly, I would appreciate if anyone can share a better rotation if there is one. There was one in the ffxiv guide, but it was too generic in only introducing the basics. I would like a full rotation with buffs/debuffs. Thank you in ahead~
P.S- I got this rotation from a thread in the General a few weeks back where some guy claimed to be #1 DRG in Excalibur, and then went into a deep analysis with some girl's rotation in regards to their higher parsed DPS. The girl never shared her rotation, maybe because she wanted to keep it hidden, but it did top the guy's DPS in a parser. Still though, I really like the guy's rotation as posted above, but if there is truly something better out there, I'd like to request for it
Edit - I'm editing the rotation as this is checked, and with a good margin of error, the buff timings and resets all align to perfectly fit a rotation. I noticed though, Fracture's animation timing seems to omit the buff of Disembowel at the very last second, so if Frac were to the omitted, then the last attack would still be under the Disembowel buff. Is this the reason why Fracture is not used by the "pro" DRGs?
