I hate dungeons....

I just have always had a phobia about group MP gameplay, it's my problem that I avoid it but I was annoyed that to simply complete the story I had to group so often in FFXIV.

This game is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

There is very little to literally no solo content in this game.
Save but job quests and the small yet numerous main scenario quest/side quest line.
Ok....gathering is a solo task. Crafting (Ignoring FC workshop projects) is solo. But still - all impact other players in some form or fashion.

The whole core of this game is dungeon running/trial combat/raids/savage content/ultimate content/ and of course PVP.

The best content is gated with multiplayer content. You really cannot...will not *at least anything worthwhile right now* solo this content. In many cases 1 player isn't enough. Yes you could do most dungeons un-synched - but its content designed to be run at a specific level - its expected to be a little funny and awkward at best.

That said....if you don't consider yourself fully warned/educated as to what your walking in too...then you should turn around.

I too don't like the random encounters and peer pressure that comes with the speed-runners/and trouble makers - but it is a way of life and its how I find great people who have helped me get where to I am today.

I still don't believe your genuine in your claims...and that this is a glorified troll - but I won't turn down a request for help regardless....because this could be just an overstated miscommunication on your part. You did however "necro" a thread and just out of the blue started making baseless accusations that SE is doing a foolish thing with "forced multiplayer" instances in a game that is specifically designed to be multiplayer. That's just crazy talk.

Good luck regardless...just be prepared to face the fact this is a multiplayer game....through and through. Don't accuse SE for doing the one thing they said they do...that's just foolish.

Word of advise....learn to use party finder....learn it well. You will need to make friends. It will help you get the content cleared easier. Since you have a phobia about this sort of thing. You'd best start adapting. There are plenty of final fantasy games out there that are single player. No one said you had to play this one. If you invested money into it...then at least give it the shot it deserves. It is worth it...in my opinion.

I thought the core of this game was talking in various chats doing whatever random task you would like to do. I spend a day doing triple triad, chocobo racing, GATE's and my daily cactpot. Oh LalaCouch on Hyperion for Jumbo Saturdays. I think I have done one Savage Raid. A1S and that was just purely for light during 3.5. Oh and fates... love that stuff. I have my friendly chocobo who is incredibly loyal and never talks back. I give him some carrots from time to time but otherwise he is just content to be pecking. He does die sometimes but greens cures all of that and he never tells me how much I suck while I demolish, twin snakes, and dragon kick my way to Mantra.

Depends on the player. There's plenty of ways to play, and one isn't less valid than the other (unless you're like, breaking rules or something).

So our thread necromancer can play the game mostly solo if he wants. He just has to get through some one time instances, but as mentioned repeatedly, then he never has to return. And everyone else is free to use instances as much or as little (barring the one time clears) as they like.

I was more saying Ugh because while I agree with 100% of what you said you missed the sarcasm in my response and don't know why you responded to me versus the person who was stating the core of this game is party content.
