I hate dungeons....

Well, honest and blunt advice: You need run MSQ group content exactly once, and once only. Optional dungeons you can skip. And you can never return to the MSQ ones if you don't want to.

Ill give an answer just incase someone decides to necro this thread again in another 5 years. The way this game is designed, in order to progress through the story and see all of the world the game will repeatedly put you into the position of having to clear instanced content(most of which involve some fighting). There are many instances you complete solo(some with the help of NPCs), but there are also dungeons and trials you need to clear. If you are far above the level of the dungeon or trial it is possible to clear many of them solo, but most people will clear these by joining groups. You can go with friends, or the game has a built-in match making system to put you with random players to complete your goals. While you must clear all the required instances to continue the story(and unlock more parts of the world), you only need to do each of them once. Once youve cleared a dungeon(or whatever) you dont have to go back unless you want to, and the game has many optional instances(more dungeons, trials, raids, etc) that you never even have to go near if they dont interest you. As of the current patch(4.2) there are 26 dungeons required to complete the story(ranging from level 15-70, 11 in the base game, 9 in the first expansion, and 6 so far in the second), and 21* trials to get to the same spot(10 in the base game plus you have to do 3 re-fights that i counted but arent really anything new, 4 in the first expansion with one more re-fight and 3 so far in the second).

So if being put in a position to group with others 24 times over the course of 50 levels and 285 main storyline quests(this is of course only counting the required story quests, not the hundreds of extra side quests) in the base game is too much for you - and 47 total over 70 levels and 545 quests so far counting expansions - then yes this is unfortunately probly not the game for you.
