Exactly this, It's not going to be anywhere near the level of a true DD, you can use WAR as DD for 4 man stuff, but it's not going to cut it for 8 man unless you get carried or are way overgeared for the content.

Also being MRD instead of WAR is out of the question, you lose way too many stat points just to get some buffs.

It's not really worth doing. If you want to play a DPS role play an actual DPS and not try to play a Tank as a DPS.

Going from Mrd to War only gives 10 Str vs the rediculous amount of damage buffs you get.
