    PS3 Black Screen

    At random intervals at any given time my screen will turn black. I am still able to see all menus, maps, player and enemy names, and hotbars but am unable to see anything else.
    Sometimes the game will correct itself after a variable amount of time or casting a teleport or return spell will sometimes fix it for a couple of minutes.

    Unfortunately this happens in every play session generally within 20 minutes or so.
    I've searched the forums and found a few others with this same problem but no real resolution.

    It is not my ps3, every other game I have tried works flawlessly. I have reinstalled the game multiple times, swapped to a fresh hard drive, switched televisions (because why not) and messed with every display setting I could find all to no avail.

    As you can imagine this has greatly diminished my enjoyment of the game and any help would be appreciated.

    I've had this issue happen to me before on several occasions. Mainly in dungeons or if I don't move for a while when I'm in a city or out in a field. Normally I'll use "Return" or "Teleport" and that just causes everything to go back to normal, but when engaged in duties, it becomes a miserable experience. It happened to me one time while I was tanking Titan hardmode and I just pretty much had to depend on the minimap to know where to go.

    It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved.
