    COIL ITEM DROPS BY TURN MUCH MORE DIFFICULT FOR SOME JOBS THAN OTHERS

    I was just looking at the loot tables and for an example, you can see that BRD can get 2 drops from T1 but DRG can get 4 drops.
    This is made equal by BRD getting more drops than dragoon later on in T4 and in T5. T4 and T5 is a lot harder than T1 so how is this fair? I noticed tanks, healers and casters get less on T1 also, while monk gets more. can't it be the same for all jobs?

    Maybe it's to do with how the turns suit each job? Melee struggles in Coil as there's a lot of red stuff to avoid (especially in T2), so helping them early is a good idea. WAR/PLD actually get 3 items from T1 and 4 from T2, all of which are huge upgrades. Maybe I'm wrong but it just seems like they want to help Tanks and Melee early and Casters/Heals get gear later on. It could also be to do with how powerful the gear is in CT for Casters/Bards. You might already meet any DPS check in it whereas Melee might not.

    I second the turn design thing SpookyGhost mentioned. It's not as bad for ranged dps to get into a group due to their relatively safer positions compared to melees in the first few turns. People have run turn 1 with all melees I know but it's not the optimal setup. My FC recently ran turn 2 with 2 melees and it does requires a bit more coordination on the dps part. I don't see why they shouldn't reward the melee dps for that. Also tanks actually has a lot drop in t1 and t2 as they're at the front line of damage and need that gear to survive boss's mechanics so they have 3 drops in T1 (4 for PLD) and 4 drops in T2.

    Additionally, considering for bards you want mostly myth anyway, it's not a huge deal.

    Couple more things to consider:
    - Eventually it all becomes easy. In my FC 1-4 gets cleared by multiple groups every week. So 1 isn't really any more likely than 4 (at least for us). T5 is probably the same or soon will be for some people.
    - You would have to consider also the likelihood of any particular item actually dropping. Don't some chests have 9 items, while others have less? That would mean less chance of some items than others.

    In the end, I think you'll find it's clearly not "fair". Probably just happenstance as to who gets favored and they'll have taken steps to make it not *too* imbalanced. But ultimately not equal.

    The loot ratio is horribly imbalanced. For some, it's a good thing. For BRDs like me, it's awful because all of our loot is T4/T5. 8/12 pieces, iirc.

    Just get a full set of i60/i70 gear and NQ relics. You can clear Turns 1 - 4 just like the people who cleared it world first.

    I'm up to 9 clears of turn 1, 8 clears of turn 2, 6 clears of turn 4...

    And I have a single ring as my only piece of loot. The RNG is a fickle bitch.

    Pretty much. When we cleared our first runs through T4 in the second week of the game, my average iLvl as the MT was 61 and I was better geared than a lot of the other people.
