Best leveling strategy Btn/Min???

I'd suggest staying with 90% or higher chance. When you're closer to 90%, use sharp vision, when you're closer to 100%, use Unearth (best results on the 5 swing nodes). I personally did mythril through most of the 30's, just because there was nothing else even remotely sellable through that range.

Side note - Use a double survival guide. You can only have one on you at a time, but you can use one before you leave town to dig, and buy a 2nd one to use after the first wears off.

the best way to lvl a miner is to grind regular nodes till lvl 30. Why 30 well cause itll take u atleast around a 100+ leves to go from lvl 1-50 and leves are very precious so best to grind to lvl 30. after 30 u want to grind leves especialy the evaluation ones (side note every 1 lvl the evaluation leve is higher then urs equals 1 more eval point per a harvested item, this also works the opposite way so becareful to not do eval leves lower then ur lvl) all the way to lvl 50. Id say it will take u around 4-6 days depending on how much time u dedicate to it and how many leves u have to hit 50 from lvl 1.

I HATE gathering. Simple fact, hate it. I got to level 42 miner on my character i had at release. The true grind of mining eventually burnt me out totally on the game. There doesn't seem to be any scaling on the xp gained. I'm a lvl 50 wvr, gsm and alch , so it really behooves me to be able to gather my own mats.

So, i bit the bullet on the character i'm playing now, started levelling mining. Last night i was level 7. 35 minutes later i was level 8. Compared with DoH, the xp is ridiculous. Time invested is purely crazy. I had hoped they would have tweaked the xp gains on Mining by now, but it seems it's been left as it is.

**edit addition** after reading the osiris link. good information. i used leves to grind out the 42 on my old character. do these now give a lot more xp?

I follow the achievements when I am low on leves. I will also try and pick a zone which has something sellable or craftable. So like on my botanist I am doing oak/flax and have been for the past 4 levels. I then incorporate the provisions each and every day. I just put a show on. You'll get multiple stacks just running around zoning out.

Another way for good exp is the supply and provision missions at your Grand Company. I do mine every day and I only turn in HQ items. This gives you about a third of a level every day for just turning in 10 HQ items.

I was going to add this. Do your daily GC provisioning missions and always turn in HQ items. Just stay out there until you have the HQ you need.

Also I will add -

- Anything worth gathering, is worth gathering a full stack. If you're going to lug around the material and use a precious inventory slot, you might as well carry 99 of them.

- For mining, I had the best luck mining the fool out of silver ore near Buscarron's Druthers, and Mythril ore near Bronze Lake. 3, 4 stacks a trip; and even the NQ sells quickly on the market, if you're smart and sell in small stacks, stacks of 20 or 25 ores, market priced.
