I agree with this completely. Don't get me wrong, i'm excited for 2.1 but I think with the way the ilvl requirement is low and most people already meeting that standard and doing coil, 2.1 is gonna get eaten up way faster than launch content. This is an update consisting of things that should have already been there at launch. There are a bunch of groups in the game with gear more than adequate enough to take on all of the content 2.1 will offer. I'm sure just playing for 2-3 hours a day for those people will guarantee they get everything done in a week or two. Some people in this thread are acting like we're getting a plethora amount of content, lol.

Didn't BG do this, like, last week?Hey, guys. With the way the game is now (a good number of people have 1 job in full i90 or close) how fast do you guys think 2.1's content will be completed? I'm guessing by Saturday strong, dedicated FC's will have beat the EM Primals, CT, and Ultima HM lol. I haven't joined an FC but I haven't found the need to either. Most of this game can be PUG'd so I'm pretty confident it will only take me a little longer than a solid group of people to beat this content. It's a shame this patch is actually going backwards but as a supporter of Square-Enix and Final Fantasy, I will continue to sub.
Abyss: Welcome to a Higher Quality of Nerding™
This is what I don't get. If casuals complete content at such a slow pace then why do they need 8x the content that hardcore players get? Every patch will have casual content, likely 4+ different types, yet hardcore progression-oriented players get 1 thing every other patch, when they're the ones clearing stuff faster. How does that make any sense?
To answer the OP. I give it a week before good players are bored and are once again forced to play casually. I really don't expect much of a challenge from extreme primals and they're likely to be the only difficult content in 2.1.

As a filthy casual, I'm going to take a bath in all the content I'll have to play with next week.
Then I'll cry because I'm 29 and have to go to work.
@permbanned I'm also excited for the EM Primals. I believe this will be the only content worth spamming BUT I'm curious how the loot will be distributed in the content. I feel it'll be EM's drop iLvl80 accessories and CT will drop iLvl80 armors.
EM Primals and Ultima will be downed within a week or two by basically all groups on T5 or later. The groups that use other peoples strats will take much longer since they have to do it on their own or wait until someone figures it out. For the rest of us it will just be figuring out mechanics and then winning since we overgear them already.
CT is setup to last a very long time.
The only real setbacks are going to be bugs, lag and crashes. If the primals don't have any nasty bugs or lag and the servers can handle the loads then all will be good.
This is exactly what I think too, despite people thinking they'll be ilv90 accessories. It wouldn't make sense if we're able to farm ilv90 accessories non-stop, but for ilv80 I can see it happening. And I'm pretty sure it'll be a chest with one accessory in it just like HM primal weapons.

ill be done with all the content in about 5 minutes... Goblin players are hardcore like that.
All in all though, I guess it depends on how fast you want it to last, and if doing something once is considered "done" for you... I can do something about 100 times before I think its getting boring, so for me I'm still really enjoying the content of 2.0
I'd wager 3 days, not including the PvP.
To be fair, 2.1 really ain't all that much.
Isn't CT about 100 floors total with more floors being unlocked per patch?EM Primals and Ultima will be downed within a week or two by basically all groups on T5 or later. The groups that use other peoples strats will take much longer since they have to do it on their own or wait until someone figures it out. For the rest of us it will just be figuring out mechanics and then winning since we overgear them already.
