PLD still has much better and numerous cool downs, more eHP and healing bonus from Shield Oath, ability to block, STR debuff, Blind and Hallowed Ground.

They'll still be the better tank but by a rather small margin which is how it should be.
Aside from WAR catching up in term of DR, the key change is that PLD/WAR will have much more synergy in a group due to WAR's Storm Path damage debuff which will stack with RoH STR debuff.

PLD/PLD will still be just as good, WAR/WAR will be viable in 2.1 but PLD/WAR will soon be the better option :-)
