Well, since they are the most enterprising and monetary focused of the beast races, I'd say Yojimbo maybe. "I could kill for you but what's in it for me?"

I was actually about to post that when I read the topic title, haha! I could see a fight against Yojimbo being interesting. Not to go overboard with the idea, but I'd see it as taking place in an arena similar to Ul'Dah's Coliseum, with a crowd of Goblins watching the fight. Throughout the fight blue AoE circles appear that indicate where Goblins are throwing their money, and every time they successfully give Yojimbo their money he gains a stack that boosts his determination, up to 10 stacks. If he's at 10 stacks when he reaches 50% HP, he does an insta-kill. It would be the job of the tank to essentially kite Yojimbo out of their money tosses, while the off-tank holds aggro on his wolf, Daigoro, who he summons part-way into the fight.

It's gimmicky, yeah, but it'd be a pretty nifty mechanic.

This is my recollection as well, though I can't for the life of me find the dev quote. >_>

I think a classic summon that would work well as the Goblin's Primal would be Golem. In Final Fantasy VI he was depicted as a guardian machine, which I think would fit the Goblin's more neutral stance and their love of technology. Really though I would just love to see the return of lesser used summons from the past--whether for Goblins or for some other tribe.

Tossing in a bit of Lore for the Goblins, every 100 year they go on a great Pilgrimage leaving the city-states and other various places to venture to a place that is currently unknown. It's called a pilgrimage so it seems to be atleast some kind of religious thing, but who knows it might just be a version of Burning Man. But anyways if SE does introduce a Primal for all "beastribes" (Goblins, Qiqrin, Mamool Ja currently without one) it would probably be about this pilgrimage. Also keeping to the 100 years timeline, the last Pilgrimage would have been 1572, a.k.a. the present day of 1.0. During such times, the Ascians were teaching beastmen to summon their Primal. So we'll see.

According to the Goblin Perch Fishing Guide item description, their years-long pilgrimage is through Othard and Ilsabard, the other two of the "three great continents".

Seeing Goblins are the "humans" of the beastman races I don't believe they have one. I mean, look in Vana'diel... how many zones are they NOT Goblins?
