Tanking on PS3

It happens on PC too - I have both. I actually DPS on my BLM on PC and I prefer tanking on PS3. I do sometimes run into having to hit Fast Blade 3-4 times and freaking out because I'm not sure if I am lagging or what, but I find movement and flexibility greater on PS3, everything is at your finger tips as opposed to a PC with a traditional M+KB where your buttons are all spread out, and you might have to take your hands off your movement keys to silence/stun/etc.

You can tell if its your controller or not by paying attention to the skill icon when you are trying to activate it. Every time you attempt an activation it will light up white for a split second to show that attempt - if its lighting up, its not your controller.

why not just use a controller on your PC when you tank and have all the better options/graphics/features of the PC version and the controller you play on PS3 for at the same time?

I play PLD on PS3 and notice this as well. I definitely notice some lag when I switch between crossbars. I seem to have slight lag even switching between 2 sides of the same crossbar.

One thing I noticed is that whenever I press R2/L2, it takes a second for the PS3 button icons to appear under each skill. I feel like my failure rate is much higher if I try and activate a skill before those button icons are visible.

So in general my recommendation is when you press the R2/L2 to bring up the cross bar, wait a second for the PS3 button icons to appear under each skill. Then try and activate the skill. Either it actually has something to do with the buttons, or there is always a lag and waiting for those icons to appear just helps with the timing.

All that being said, Hallowed Ground seems to be a special case and always seems to be delayed for me.
