Nintendo's definition of an RPG are the Mother, Pokemon and Golden Sun series. Their SRPGs are the Wars series and Fire Emblem series.Zelda is by nintendo's deffinition an RPG. There is questing, which is a bigger pie of the rpg. Not just the battle system. I've been playing rpgs for 20 yearsAnd fyi.... final fantasy games has always been a random battle turn based style combat. With little to no questing and exploring with dungeon runner styles. With little to no puzzles. Most of the zones have been tiny path halls with a boss room at the end. Kinda funny ppl complained about ff13.... but it is set up how ff7 was.
Oh, and Mario from time to time. Zalda was an action RPG at one point, but that was abandoned a long time ago.
