Sadly the true battle experience will not be fulfilled in Final Fantasy XIV. For now, we have Demon's Souls, and Dark Souls coming up.

I think they're PS3 exclusives, offline though. Demon's Souls has been out for a long time now and Dark Souls is sort of the sequel to it although not real, its kind of its successor. Good games.

I'm sorry but just because the old ideas of stat based combat are "old" doesn't mean they aren't still legitimate genres of gaming people still enjoy. If you don't like a certain aspect of a game they don't play it, instead of getting them to change something the whole game in some way or form is based on.
