You have to understand that a lot of people feel the same about the game at the moment, for many it is coming up to "crunch" time where they want to see lots of decent changes and events introduced so that after 9 months there is actually something other than quests for pointless rewards once you have a rank 50, leves, a few NMs, crafting or gathering to mainly do in the game.

Although I agree that "I quit for so and so reason" threads do not necessarily help change anything, people could also argue that the game may be free to play but they had to fork out for the cost of the game in the first place. (Just playing devil's advocate.)

So, as I have seen constantly over the last few weeks, people are simply venting their frustration the more that time goes on.

And no, I personally do not count mob and spell/battle effect resizing, changing the market ward names, fiddling with mob distribution, putting in a few "go kill X number of this" quests, adjusting the still useless targetting system 3 times for little improvement, a coloured aggro indicator blob and level on mobs, removal of "curious" mob AI, collision detection etc etc as anything major. It is the complete overhaul of the battle system, changes to the class system, introduction of JSE and unlockable specialization jobs, Dungeons- PvE, Companies, materia system and so on that people are waiting for with bated breath.

This is a General Discussion thread so people do actually have every right to "talk or complain" regarding the state that FFXIV is in currently. We are the customers. After all, isn't that why SE set this forum up in the first place? - To see player feedback, thoughts and complaints to do with the game about things that need fixing to turn this beached whale into a success? There are usually more often troll threads or complaints rather than actual useful suggestions on the forum but that's inevitable, and to be honest is mostly down to us to ignore so that they die quickly, or the community reps to close down if they are pointless and/or inappropriate.
