Go back and Reread what I said, I specifically mentioned Quests/Missions with CS not the inordinate quests that mean nothing similar to other MMO

Are you aware of how many "quests" FFXI had at its launch? It is not much different than what FFXIV has, and is a very successful MMORPG. And you would really have to add all the levequests into that total because like it or not levequests are no different (except with the one at a time setup) than any classical "go kill 10 spiders" quest.

Levequests are a great idea, if the world was filled with a bunch of "normal" quests, those would be cleared with your first or second class, nothing to do for any of your other classes. Levequests provide a system that will have renewable 'quests' for all of your future classes.

I don't like Levequest system, I'd prefer the "old school" in FFXI style. A possibility could be made grinding parties the main way to exp (as in FFXI) and Leves an alternative to it. I'm playing since the day-one and now I'm starting getting bored of the game... Sometimes I feel like you alexi14, but I have hope in the future.

i don't see the point to all these "I quit" or I hate the game post, it seems to me you desire confirmation on your decision to leave the game

word of advise it is YOUR life do not be ruled by others opinion.

if you want to play another game thats more appealing to you go do so no one is stopping you. but i do believe you will have a damn hard time finding another Online RPG that does not require you to grind. it has been said in many post grinding is essential. Damn even in real life you have to grind. you have to prove your worth before you can move up in a company. why should this method of advancement in a game be any different.
also many people were expecting this game to hit the ground running being at the exact standard if not better then its predecessors. from day one. this is not possible those games had years to develop and become much better than their starting form.

in short give the game and the developers some time. or cancel your account and go do something more productive/ entertaining to your standards

Because if no one stated why they're quitting SE wouldnt know how to improve. Sadly even if we bash their heads in with the reasons they still dont listen, so the very good reason becomes very pointless.

What pisses me off about leves is they bragged so much about it and kept saying things like "Its a foundation we can add onto every patch", I've not yet seen a single patch that added more Battleleves, has there been any? i know they sorted out DOL but thats a very low percentage of people.

Personally, I think the grinding will get a lot better once they remove the stupid fatigue system. Nothing is worse than starting up a leve with friends and after the first mob, "Well, I'm in surplus."

I'm hoping once fatigue is gone we'll be able to have more of the old school FFXI style parties.

I hate leves. Hate. The thought of doing another dunesfolk/cracked/levinshower...then god the stupid dog and mole scrap leves again today...ugh.

But it's either that, efts, peistes, or raptors. If leves were balanced, diverse, and actually fun it'd be one thing. But they're not.

And because we have leves, developers don't have pressure to make field-advancement anything but the most mind-numbing grind.

You literally have 4 options for field sp. Duo low HP mobs to 28. 5-man efts to 35. 5 man NEW efts to 40. Raptors to 50. Peistes somewhere in between is your ONLY. ONLY. Alternative. Nothing else is worth attempting.

So in this game to level, everyone starts the same stupid leves at level 30 and goes all the way to 50 on it, or they supplement it by levelling on one of like four enemies. Forever.

No MMO is that desolate for diversity. This is the only one.

I think I am quitting too =O, I dun want my pocket to get charged this august.I agree what Alexi said, FF 14 is just overrrrr,players keep declining each month, and guess what ? tons of new games are coming like Diablo 3, Dark Souls and friends, everyone will forget this game.

Who said they were charging this August, at MOST well see is PS3 Beta... That August thread was rumor
