This game is not much different then FFXI leveling in all honesty.

You can easily join a party and grind out 20-25k sp/hr without much difficulty I do it all the time. And you can do leves as well.

If you loved FFXI's leveling there is no reason to really hate the leveling in this game atm, it is literally the same.

The issue is the community does not group up at all in this game, they hardly do it in leves outside JP time... but that is not something SE can fix. FFXI was not fun at all solo either.

The game lacks endgame content yes, but atm there is as much to do as there was in FFXI pre-zilart. I suggest you come back and look after the updates. AS for quest there is quite alot in the game atm, they do not level you up but then again this is not a quest based leveling mmo.

Wrong. Nobody groups up anymore because they don't HAVE to. XI was HARD and if you wanted to fight anything above "decent challenge" and have a good chance of living you needed at least one more party member. I said it before and I will say it again. the reason the community in XI was so good was/is because we all had a bond forged in hardship. The games difficulty brought us together... XIV can be solo'd from beginning to end... no reason to team up.

I agree. I find it ridiculous that I can easily solo mobs several levels above me, yet group SP caps out not too much farther above. Levels don't mean the same things for mobs as they do for characters.

It's really funny how this game has the smallest grind of any MMO I've played (aside from maybe Guild Wars). You can hit 50 pretty easily playing only a few hours a night (doing leves with a group).

Alexi, I totally dig where you are coming from. One could argue that the game launched with a decent amount of content the major failing being the way its accessed. But im not going to, Best of luck in future endeavors and your quest to find digital distraction

The game is a big grind that then imposses a restriction for you to stop advanceing in level. But.....If you played 11 party grinding isent that bad. What i think is this.

Most people who played 11 dident play it from day 1. I remember at day 1 getting a group was hard , fighting the correct mobs was hard. And how the jobs accualy worked wasent all cookie cutter yet.

In WoW i would have no idea because i dident play it. ( graphix and cracked out looking saturday morning cartoon chrs. dident appeal to me lol)

In 14 grinding SP isent that hard really. If you do Leves Correctly you can gain level FAST. Then theres Grinds well you can raptor grind @45ish and gain 20k SP in about 1hour if your fast. Or Hog grind at 35ish.

Also the amount of SP in 14 compaired to 11 is night and day. I remember in 11 it would take a few months to get to 75 in 14 you can get to 50 in a month or 6 weeks or less if you know what to do.

Sorry about your luck on the game. It also helps to have a Great LS to do things with and make grinding better and more enjoyable

I don't like Levequest system, I'd prefer the "old school" in FFXI style. A possibility could be made grinding parties the main way to exp (as in FFXI) and Leves an alternative to it. I'm playing since the day-one and now I'm starting getting bored of the game... Sometimes I feel like you alexi14, but I have hope in the future.

i don't see the point to all these "I quit" or I hate the game post, it seems to me you desire confirmation on your decision to leave the game

word of advise it is YOUR life do not be ruled by others opinion.

if you want to play another game thats more appealing to you go do so no one is stopping you. but i do believe you will have a damn hard time finding another Online RPG that does not require you to grind. it has been said in many post grinding is essential. Damn even in real life you have to grind. you have to prove your worth before you can move up in a company. why should this method of advancement in a game be any different.
also many people were expecting this game to hit the ground running being at the exact standard if not better then its predecessors. from day one. this is not possible those games had years to develop and become much better than their starting form.

in short give the game and the developers some time. or cancel your account and go do something more productive/ entertaining to your standards
