Let's Appreciate This Game's Awesome Soundtrack

Well to be fair SE did say they weren't going to focus on FJRPG (fantasy japanese rpg for those who dont know) anymore, with the FFXIII series being last FJRPG they make. I wonder if this transition and lack of enthusiasm for the fantasy genre is felt amongst the whole company. I now some people were more into the shooters and crap now adays, but just because I want to play an upgraded version of rpgs made 10 years or a game similar to that, I shouldn't be pushed out of the video game market by xbox 360 users to find real gaming to be shooters. That's kinda effed, its just how I feel, I feel like the hardcore fantasy nerd is being pushed out of gaming by the mainstream dumb spammer crown :/, and that video games just aren't made for me anymore.

I honestly am wishing the new SE mmo is a FFXI-2 set 5,000-10,000 years in the future of Vana'Diel Super unlikely though =/

Thats the problem alot of us gamed when it was nerdy now everyone and their mother plays Halo or CoD and it's ''Cool'', people like us who grew up playing games are being left behind for whats ''cool''.

I'd take FFXI-2 and then the people who hate on XI players in these forums would see this game die as the main user base leaves for FFXI-2 lol (even if you didn't like FFXI you woudn't make the same mistakes twice right)

I know, how does SE manage to make BETTER tech demos than games, (FFVII tech demo fro ps3, made people wish there was a remake but it never happened). The trailer for this game or the cinematic cutscene rather is a lot better than what they have now. I would of seriously taken rapture. I hate that have of those "cool" gamers can't even sit through a real game :/. I know people know people who don't even play through the storymode of CoD and games like that, they just go straight to online mode :/

Same here that city in that demo is unreal and looks pretty much of what you described as a next gen FFXI set in the future. After the first time I laid eyes on that trailer I was counting the days and years until the new FF MMO was coming out then finally the E3 announcement, My friends and I were so excited only to be let down hardcore in all directions.

I wish you are right with the FFXI-2 thing I really do.
