Low frame rate, what am I doing wrong?

I was having trouble running fates, alot of the time the mobs wouldn't even spawn for me until the fate was almost over, so bought a new video card. After installing the card and the drivers, and updating the drivers and confirming that the rest of my drivers were up to date I loaded the game and noticed very limited improvement. I turned all the graphic settings as low as they can go and I am still lucky to get a FPS over 20.

Here are the results of my bench mark

I think your CPU is very dated to be honest.

Definitely your CPU, I have the lesser version of your GTX 650 and my fps is always around 30-60 depending on the place and how crowded it is (Maximum Settings).
Using an i5 if that helps lol.

Even though your CPU is dated and has a high GHz, it will need to be upgraded in order to play the game at a good frame rate. Though my GHz is lower than yours (2.8), I can easily get 60 FPS. Have you updated to the GeForce 331.93 driver? That driver is not current. The 331.82 driver showed MASSIVE improvements on frame rates, and I made a thread about it 2 weeks ago. Even though the current 331.93 driver is a Beta driver, it's still good to download and use. Try it out! Plus the recent two driver updates I mention have also boosted the graphics somewhat; Aetherytes now have a blue glow to them, and Ambient Occulsion looks a lot better, too. I have a GeForce 555M GT, though, but my game runs great.

I can understand that my CPU needs to be upgraded, but why is there such a discrepancy between the bench mark software and the actual performance of the game? You would think that if my processer wasn't up to snuf the bench mark software would not rate me in the 'Very Good' catagory

I will look into the 331.82 driver.

well it has to do with the actual player that are running around in the game. u'll notice that it dips quite a bit in crowded areas

I use a 2.6Ghz intel Core 2 Duo E6700, Windows Vista 32bit Home Premium, 4 Gigs of Ram, and a Radeon HD 6570 (2 gigs of video ram). I don't get the best framerate in the world during fates, but players/enemies load just fine.
