    Suggestions for future Patches/Expansions

    I am unsure if new classes or jobs will be released in expansions or patches but I'm hoping they start with the typical jobs first. I'd personally like to have RDM back along with THF. I have read plenty of posts with ideas for these jobs. RDMs begin with Fencers and THF begins with Rogue. Those are solid foundations to start with. I'm looking forward to the addition of the wolves den pvp as well, but it would be neat if FCs could buy forts and have conquest battles to take over other forts. Dunno how they'd implement such a monumental piece of content but nonetheless it would be neat to see. SE has a strong start on FF14 ARR and the only way to go from here is up so any suggestions will be great to hear. I'm gonna follow this thread every day to see what everyone's ideas are.

    Here's a suggestion for future patches and expansions;

    Stop. Doing. Them.

    Apparently you (SE) cannot be trusted doing anything right. You have no sense of Balance (hello new Warrior), no sense of pricing (Hello housing costing 625 Milion gil), no sense of what we want with battles and gear (Hey look, free effortless lvl90 armor and weapons from PVP, while no one likes or wants to do PVP, and which probably has terrible game mechanics that just dont work right... But lets also nerf every other dungeon's gear and rewards while we're at it!).

    We dont want to run dungeons 15 times to reach the cap. We wanted to run dungeons LESS. We dont like spending 15 hours each week doing nothing but dungeons. The 8 hours each week was bad enough before all this.

    So just Stop. Please Stop. This is looking like 1.0 again. Great game with a great start, and then ruined update, after update, after update.

    If the bottom line marketing point of updates stopped being "lets milk the content for all its worth to prolong the game", then I'm looking forward to each and every update and expansion. If not.. well we will see how the general public reacts after to long now wont we. On a side note, I would like to see Samurai and Ninja back, my favorite classes from the days of FFXI.

    I would really like to see the addition of notorious monsters like we had in FFXI.
    I actually enjoyed camping in an area waiting for a monster to spawn. It was exciting when the NM finally showed up. It was also really fun when you would occasionally see an NM wandering around unclaimed.

    I fear FFXIV is turning into a WoW clone with the dungeons, dungeon finder, tome farming for gear, and now we got tribe reputation being added with daily quests.

    Personally I want something more for xp that isn't a quest, fate or dungeon. I think there's far too many fates and dungeons that we need less, not more, and to make the fates harder so that they aren't over within seconds. I would like to see more group missions like we had in FFXI. I want to have places that are so extremely tough that you need your wits about you to get past or have 2 or more full parties to battle through. And as Max said above, I'd like to see more notorious monsters. These were what made FFXI fun and put the division between itself and WoW.

    I never played WoW, but I heard it was very fun.
    I also really enjoyed the non-instanced dungeons with no level cap from FFXI. There was one such place, I think Gustav tunnel where dozens of small parties would go to level up. In this dungeon a dragon, much too big for the xp parties to tackle, would occasionally appear and walk the length of the dungeon wiping every party. The panic of everyone trying to escape and the trains of xp mobs following the escaping parties was really fun and exciting (and annoying at the same time). Finally a couple of really large players would arrive and save the day by killing the dragon for us. Heros of Vanadiel!!!! Fun Fun Fun!
