Thread: Dear Arcanists/summoners...

Explain this to me... cuz i dont know if we are missing something or that guy is just a complete *bleep* -_-

my friend was tanking i was dpsing and there was an arcanist in the group with his healer friend with us...

he was using the tanking yellow pikachu like pet instead of the blue dpsing one... my friend has no problem keeping the adds on her but still it bugged her since she is a tank and no reason for that thing to keep trying to pull the mobs off her the whole time and we actually could use more dps with his blue dps pikachu pet since his dps sucked... so she asked him politely to dismiss his current tanking pet and summon the dps one... no response... she stood for 15 seconds waiting and nothing.. then asked him nicely again can u please do it? still no response.. she thought ah well.. maybe he doesnt speak english... then after the next pack he started cybering with his female friend/girlfriend on party chat in perfect ENGLISH... so he understood what she said but decided to ignore it... -_-

I know how she feels cuz i put myself in her place as a healer while knowing im fully capable of healing the whole group and still see an arcanist or summoner stopping dps to heal with me and i ask him/her to stop cuz this is MY JOB and decides to ignore me and keep healing i would be pretty upset.. cuz im having fun healing and he just spoiled it for me...

sorry guys this is basically me venting but i seriously dont understand... since he wasnt the only one.. we ran across many Arcanists/Summoners who keep that tanking pet up and either ignore u when u ask them to replace it or worse they actually get offended for some reason and go berserk mode on you....


so are we missing something? does this tanking pet have some special epic dps abilities which makes it impossible to even consider dismissing him? or as i said they are just being *bleeps* and want to piss the tanks off?

They are just lazy or don't know better and sometimes don't see the chat log (not in your case i guess).

I guess some ACN assume that since you get the tanking one later it is better.

Nah, the yellow one is a tanking pet, perfect for solo PVE. They should have the blue one out in dungeons. I really hope they don't go do AK/WP runs with Titan out instead of Garuda... :| Even though I'm a SMN, other SMNs ignore my advice too

Cybering? As in erotic roleplay or cybersex? That counts as harassment according to the ToS. If you remember his name, look him up on Lodestone to find out what server he's on, and report him.

Thank you for letting me know... but seriously i dont want anything to do with that guy anymore.. hope i dont see him ever again..

You're welcome. I'd just as soon get that creep banned from play. No one should be subjected to that kind of harassment when they're just trying to play a game.

so as I thought it was the second reason... either they dont know their pet abilities or they do but too lazy to change it or just want to be *bleeps* ... GREAT ^_^


if you are an Arcanist/Summoner and you do this in runs... please stop ^_^

ACN/SMN/SCH for the most part are lazy. Very few are actually good at what they do sadly - The Yellow pet is fine in terms of DPS as well even though it's a tank, but 9/10 they're not manually controlling it to maximize it. The Blue one is the caster DPS and also needs to be manually controlled if you like your mobs not being constantly knocked back. SMNs that uses Ifrit on Ifrit tend to also be lazy and not manually control it so if you rely on the stun lock method that messes it up greatly. (Ifrit is a fine pet but..Garuda has the highest gains overall.)
