Achievement Based Gear needs Major Re-Working

To obtain "The Pick of the Luminary" one must simply mine, a lot, in specific zones/level areas a total of 21,960 times, over 12 hours of mining

    Stats of each pick:

    Phy Damage 19
    Auto Attack 20.26
    Delay 3.2
    DPS 5.93
    Gathering 112
    Perception 64
    Item Level 55
    MIN Level 50

The level 50 Mining quest literally has you talk to 4 people, then gather Darksteel ore x3, then talk to Adalberta again.

Total time spent - actually going out and mining it - <30 minutes

So ... why is the Luminary gear, so much harder to obtain?
Shouldn't it have SOME bonus, besides the gaudy color to separate it?

What I am suggesting is the "Items of the Luminary" (all of them) get some sort of stat bonus-to make them WORTH getting.

    Bonus could be anything, like:
    1-3 Materia Slots
    +5 more stats then normal
+ new stat (resistances, vitality, etc)
    +1-3 spirit bonding.

ANY bonus would make it more desirable then just "it's gold..."

    **Update**

Happy to read the Pre-Patch notes for Monday and see that they ARE INDEED adding changes to the LUMINARY gear, however.... with questionable results.

The change is "+10 Durability Loss Reduction" or something similar to that - basically implying it will break SLOWER.
But really? That's the change? with Item Levels 95 GEAR out there, you can't up the CRAFTING side a little bit?

Very unhappy with these results. Honestly I repair my worn gear more then my tools and even then, Grade 5 dark matter is cheap enough for me to not even care about buying (I buy a stack at a time....2-3 times a week)

Unless you plan to make "Request Repairs" an option for players to help one another, I don't see this change being useful at all, and not something to seek out countless hours of boring repetition to obtain.
