2$ more per month.
2$ more per month.
Price is the same if you sub to a 6 month term.
Also, character, not toon.
Because we can, and that's how the system was designed, and most people realize you don't need to have all myth tome / coil gear to play a job. The only people who need alts are lootw*$#s.So is there any reason why people level multiple classes on the same character?
NQ relic and darklight is not tied to any lockouts, and this is all you need for current content. A few 90s here and there spread across multiple jobs, 80s from patch 2.1, and /or a few relic+1 upgrades
Also, some of us don't want to go through the whole process of unlocking everything a second (or more) time.
The design philosophy is fine. As more content is added to the game this will become less and less of an issue at all, as there will be more contents to get gear from and thus the individual lockouts won't be a big deal.it's a much better option then trying to get the devs to change their design philosophy.

It really depends on how much time you have to burn.
If you can seriously max two characters, then go for it, it's a much better option then trying to get the devs to change their design philosophy.

50% bonus XP to all classes beneath your highest leveled class. You're just slowing yourself down. Also, all extra tomes and items gathered are wasted as they are bound to another. You also can not mail items to yourself, even unbound, resorting to a courier. There is literally no advantage outside of being able to evade lockouts from instances from one class to the next. But, even then, you forfeit greed rolls for alts, as unfortunately they are not there.
FFXIV allows you to be all your alts. If I go in as a Gladiator and get a piece of Bind on Pickup gear for a Black Mage, it still works. I still have it. She can still use it. How can this ridiculously powerful feature be denied? How many games offer this?
They're complaining because Coil and Myth stones don't let them give every job maximum power fast enough for their tastes. So they level alts to circumvent the limits put in the game in order to pace the content. What they don't realize and can't accept the fact is that they DON'T HAVE to have that stuff to play their jobs.
In regards to rolling alts, Do what ya want, it's your sub fees.
As to the rest... Dead horse beating is so last week.
Don't ask vapid questions then.Didn't ask for the immature sarcasm.
OP what are you going to do when they inevitably add some form of character-based progression system?
Right now rolling new characters for each job may seem appealing to you but later down the road the complete opposite may be true... at which point you'd be stuck with a bunch of alts with gear and jobs that are non-transferable back onto your main.
Go ahead and roll an alt to evade the lockouts; just don't come crying when a future addition to the game screws you over by favouring players with multiple jobs on one character.
And maybe one day they'll just give everyone a character will fully geared level 50 everything. I can make ridiculously exaggerated statements about features that haven't been discussed and are probably only being brainstormed about if anything. It's beyond stupid to say don't do X because Y might happen before the game dies in a couple years.OP what are you going to do when they inevitably add some form of character-based progression system?
