So I was reading the notes and just wondering if I missed it (didn't see anything but really long patch notes)
Are they fixing two star food to actually be worthwhile?

"Players will no longer lose the effects of food items upon being incapacitated."
Use ctrl find. It's about half way down of that wall of txt.
I meant more along the lines of the +% being so much lower than lvl 45 food that they aren't worthwhile to use until ~ilvl 100-110
Yeah that's what I was afraid of... kind of a bummer. Oh well, at least the level 45 food is cheap!

I don't understand, are you saying the bouns stats from food are low? I use La Norcea Toast and it gives me +15 vit, I don't consider it to be that low. In fact, anything above that is kind of overkill.
He's talking about Two Star Food. The max amount of Vit you can get is more than Toast, but since the % is so low, NO ONE can get it, and you actually get less stats out of it than lower level food.
For Example:
La Noscean Toast
Vitality 3% Max 11
Accuracy 2% Max 7
Parry 4% Max 18
Finger Sandwich (Double Star Recipe)
Vitality 2% Max 15
Accuracy 2% Max 9
Parry 3% Max 22
My Paladin has 480 Vit outside of a party currently. You can get full VIT benefit from Toast with less than 400 VIT. Finger Sandwich? You'd need 750 VIT. Something no one has.
But let's do some Math.
My current stats. My Acc is high since I had to switch over gearing Healer to Tank so I don't have optimal pieces yet.
With Toast With Sandwich
VIT: 480 491 489-490
ACC: 497 504 506
Parry: 501 519 516
Accuracy is the only stat I'd get more of from the Double Star food. And that's the least useful. The rest are worse.

Fix? it dont need one.
i Have 491 vit, 534 parry, 470 acc.
Toast HQ 5% parry(23), vit 4%(14), acc 2% (9)
Finger HQ 4% parry(27), vit 3%(19), acc 2% (11)
Toast HQ buff me [parry 23(max), vit 14(max), acc 9 (max)]
Finger HQ buff me [parry 21,36(no-max), vit 14'73(no-max), acc 9,4(no-max)]
Using finger i lose 1,64 parry, but i get more vit and acc.
Wearing better gear will improve my stats, so finger sandwich HQ give me more stats than toast.
The matter is, "you must use the food will improve you".
I think you may have missed the point.. the 2-star food, which has very time consuming ingredients and requires a great deal more crafting gear to HQ should really be a better option all around than anything that doesn't even have a star. Kinda like how for the other crafts, the 2-star sets are on par/better than Darklight.Fix? it dont need one.

With what you show, you gain .73 vit, and .4 acc (which are not going to do much of anything, and you will literally need hundreds more of the stat before that number gets anywhere near to a significant gain). Buying/farming the 2-star food versus the lower level Toast just doesn't make a lot of sense when you look at cost versus actual gain. The max numbers mean nothing if the percentages put those numbers so far out of reach that the only players that can attain them already have BiS of all their gear, meaning they've cleared all the content.
Unless you're arguing that the food only granting full benefit when you no longer need it is the way to go. In which case I have to disagree.
The mats need by toast and finger are close similar.
Toast:
6 Fire Shard *
5 Water Shard *
1 Walnut Bread
1 Buffalo Milk *
1 Apkallu Egg
1 Smooth Butter
1 Maple Syrup *
1 Olive Oil *
Finger:
1 Fire Cluster *
1 Water Cluster *
1 Walnut Bread
1 Apkallu Egg
1 La Noscean Lettuce *
1 Smooth Butter
1 Volcanic Rock Salt *
Having a miner lvl 50 you will get 15 volcanic rock salt, 15 fire cluster and 15 water cluster per hour.
The rest of mats you can buy NPC, market or logging.
If you have no time, lvl 50 culinarian and other HOL, then Toast is your option.
It's not about how many of what you can get in an hour to craft it, it's the % gain of a specific stat on 2 star meals compared to lvl 45 ones that he is talking about
