    Magic attached to weapon is Mystic Knight, not Red Mage. Would definitely like to see Mystic Knight and Red Mage both.

    I think you can have a token healing spell (BLM and SMN have Physick, after all), but I would agree that you could have nothing major unless the second job is a dedicated healer. Would have to focus on damage aspect of White Magic -- Harm/Dia, namely. No Dia in the game ATM, leaving it open, but there's also no holy aspect, so /shrug. You'd have to pick between DPS/healer and DPS/tank -- no healer means no healing spells (odd for Red Mage); but no healer in the series uses swords, and a Red Mage without a sword is not a Red Mage at all.

    Not sure why you think paralyze would be crap solo, or broken in parties. I don't understand the basis for you opinions.

    I'm sure some bosses would be immune to it, as they were in FF11. But many monsters use paralyze and en-spells presently. They are already built into the game design.

    If the only thing a move did was apply a debuff, it's useless on bosses that would be immune to said debuff. Even abilities like Shield Bash and Leg Sweep are useful on creatures immune to stun because of the damage of the attack itself.

    Enspells are fairly useless as elemental spells because monsters don't really have any elemental weaknesses or resistances to capitalize on. If anything, they'd probably be similar to the PGL/MNK's "Fists of" abilities and provide some kind of appropriately themed buff based on the element.

    I really think in an expansion or major patch they need to add "Support" as a job role.. but how this would effect DF in all other instances I don't know.. I just can't see RDM sitting in a DPS role..

    How do i think RDM will be implemented in this to be different to THM and CNJ? En-element spells and element spike spells for a start.. Giving himself and the party Enthunder etc.. and spikes to tank (damages enemy when it hits tank).. refresh isnt really a thing anymore cos all jobs have ways of regaining MP, although i guess it would be a nice role to ask for rather than taking a BRD for the soul purpose of mana songing (i am talking about when we do titan runs, we take a BRD just in case)

    RDM could also Debuff the enemies.. Enthunder.. give enemy thunder resistance down.. etc..

    just thoughts off top of my head

    This has been discussed past death and right into undeath. In a game where the class balance is centered around the "Holy Trinity" of Tank, Healer, and DD, a pure suppose class just can't work.

    Besides, I'm sure you'd piss off a LOT of people if you shoved RDM into a support role like players of XI did.

    Here is my thought:

    They implement a Fencer class (melee DPS). It's weapons include Rapiers and Knives. This class gets two jobs, Red Mage and Theif.

    If you go Theif, you gain stealth, steal, mug and a good backstabb ability.

    If you go Red Mage, you gain elemental weapon buffs like En-Fire to add a little fire damage to your attacks. You also get a lot of freedom to take cross class abilities from BLM and WHM.

    The same way RDM has been different from THM CNJ ARC and SMN in the past: It uses swords, medium armor, has some of the lower level, non-specialized spells of other casters, and excels at buffs/debuffs.

    Maybe give rdm's something like elementally enhanced swords? That might be cool. Even though we cant have elemental boosts over enemies, the effect might be cool. As well as a lot more enfeebling spells of course ^^ They might be close-range with a nice mix of spells...that might be interesting
