    Poaching Odins

I know Odin is supposed to be random, but is there any information out there that can help in attempts to hunt/farm him? How often does he spawn? Is there a cooldown period after his last spawn where he doesn't spawn anymore? If anyone knowledgeable about anything that can help in predicting Odin spawns, it would be appreciated.

Seems to be he spawns once in a 24 hour period and can pop in whichever Shroud zone he feels like so predicting is not really something you can do with him. Conflicting info on the exact spawn window but it's not less than 24 hours.

Usually our server predicts his window to spawn starts after 2 days, then has roughly a 72 hour window to pop within that. Seem's it has lined up that way most of the time

after 48 hours have passed, if no maintenance has occured, he will spawn randomly by the 72 hour mark. anytime after 48 hours, but always before the 72nd hour.

It's random in a 72 hour window after he is killed but at least 24 hours to respawn, so between 24 and 72 hours after time of death he will spawn again and he will spawn in one of the shourds also random. There is no way to predict it, it was designed that way.

About all you can do is monitor each zone till the weather changes, then you know hes up somewhere, then look for him.

Someone here says at least 48 hours, but I've seen him spawn at 7pm and respawn at 11 pm the next night.

Has literally never been under 2 days.

I've seen it once a day before, but could have been after a maintenance or myth reset or something that reset the timer.

Personally though, I stopped caring about odin a long time ago. It's just vanity gear. Not really bothered to go to the effort to find and defeat him 10+ times or w/e it is for useless stuff.

For anyone puzzled by the vague "wait for the weather to change" tip, it's a very specific type of "weather" you are looking for, not every random rain or thunderstorm.

The lightning changes to a dark kind of dusk, like right after the sun goes down but there's still a faint glow in the air. Moody. There will be slowly rising "firefly" like yellow/green lights that permeate the air. This is your signal that Odin is in town. This type of "weather" will be in every Black Shroud zone, even the ones he is not present in, so just because you see the fireflies, it doesn't mean you're in the right part of the Shroud.

According to XIVDB, the weather is called "Hopelessness" in the game files.
